5 things to declutter in your bedroom this fall ✨️
✨️ Nightstand
These often turn into dumping grounds for things like receipts, empty medicine packs, old books, and sometimes even snack wrappers. Do a quick sweep and make room for your current books and other helpful items like ear plugs (if your husband snores like mine), sleeping masks, and hand cream.
✨️ Under the bed
This can serve as a great storage space for off-season items, but it can also end up being where things get shoved, never to be heard of again. Grab a broom or a vacuum (you’ll need one) and see if all your stashed items deserve to live there indefinitely - chances are some things can find a better home or even hit the road.
✨️ Unloved clothing
Set a timer for 20 minutes and see which items you can elect to move on - have a look at the shoulders of the clothing - if you see dust that’s a good indication that it’s time to say bye. Giving your clothes a little breathing room is not only better for the garment but also makes finding and putting away clothes much easier
✨️ Socks and underwear drawer
You’ve all heard of second tier un**es? Of course you have. You don’t want to wear them, you’ll never wear them. Let them go and send your itchy socks packing, too.
✨️ Tired linens
Unless you have some ghost costumes coming down the pipe, then it’s time to kick those underused, ripped, and stained linens to the curb. Don’t actually kick them to the curb, recycle them at the Salvation Army (feel free to ask how). Or, if you like using sheets for cleaning or painting, then send those to the proper zones.
