Please be advised that confidentiality can not be guaranteed by posting or in-boxing admin. I am a fully registered psychologist with the Newfoundland & Labrador Board of Psychology with over 19 years of
experience. For individual, couple and family counselling services . Rates vary from $180.00/session depending on the nature of the issue(s) and the type of services required. These services are not covered by provincially funded programs (e.g. MCP), however most services are available through private insurance plans that will cover the cost of up to 4-6 sessions. Please check with your insurance carrier regarding coverage. Payment is required at the time of service, unless otherwise indicated.

ADVISORY INFORMATION:

Scheduled Appointments if Evacuation Order Occurs

As you may be aware, the central region is under an emergency order due to the wildfires from the Bay D’Espoir Highway. In the event that an evacuation order is enacted, all immediate face-to face appointments will be considered cancelled.

If you have a scheduled face-to-face appointment that is impacted, please be advised that ALL sessions may be conducted through one of the following options:

· telephone follow-up (i.e. phone follow-up/sessions)

· virtual appointments (i.e. secured platform we**am session)

· e-therapy (i.e. secure platform instant messaging session)

Not all types of appointments are able to be accommodated through this type of modality (e.g. assessments, play based sessions) and therefore will be suspended, until the evacuation order is lifted. I will reach out to all individual appointments affected to determine if a virtual appointment is suitable. As this is an evolving situation and an evacuation order may be extended, I will endeavour to contact those appointments that are scheduled further in advance to advise of the status of services.

Note: to access virtual and e-therapy options you must have access to a computer/mobile device and sign-up for the OnCall Health platform that is currently used to communicate appointment reminders to you.

An updated Informed consent form for telepsychology is required to be completed and signed to proceed with these appointments. If you have signed this form within the last 12 months, an updated form is NOT required. This form will be uploaded as a file to your OnCall Health account in advance and can be signed and uploaded to the platform or emailed to the provider. COVID-19 Resumption of In-Person Services

As we adjust to “life with COVID-19”, going forward there will be many changes to service delivery and how we adapt policies in the changing landscape of this pandemic and the various alert levels. Some of these changes vary from how face-to-face appointments will proceed to paperless invoicing and forms.
PSYolutions Inc. has always tried to minimize the use of paper, however in an effort to streamline and ensure public safety, all verification forms, invoices and/or other documentation regarding appointments will be conducted through the secure OnCall Health platform. Please access the “Patient Portal” page for FAQ for the OnCall Health platform by clicking the link embedded here and for platform support.
Effectively June 8th, 2020, for changes related to in-person appointments, in accordance with the Department of Health and Community Services, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador directives and professional standards, appointments for in-person services will resume under the COVID-19 Level 3 alert system, with the following restrictions and procedures.
1. Client Screening
All clients MUST complete the COVID-19 Client Screening Questionnaire prior to the scheduled appointment. This will document will be assigned to your appointment on OnCall Health Scheduler and can be accessed and completed via computer. If there are any difficulties accessing the form please email psyolutions@gmail.com. You will only have to complete this form once. You will be asked to confirm that there has been no change in the answers on following appointments. Only those clients who complete the form and meet screening criteria will be eligible for in-person appointments at this time.

2. Hand hygiene
Hand hygiene is recognized as the single most important infection prevention and control (IPC) practice to break the chain of transmission of infectious diseases, including respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19.

Hand sanitizer is available in both the waiting room and main office for use for both clients and the provider. Hand hygiene will occur prior to session and in between sessions.

3. Physical distancing
Physical distancing requirements of at least 2 meters apart, will be enforced to minimize contact and ensure safety for both you as the client and for others. PPE (e.g. face masks) are not required for in-person appointments as long as physical distancing can be adhered to. In an effort to maintain physical distancing, appointments will be scheduled and/or staggered to avoid any unnecessary interactions and to allow for disinfecting and cleaning procedures between appointments. This may impact the availability of appointments as the number of appointments that can be scheduled will be diminished.

In the event that there is an unavoidable overlap in appointment times, the provider will notify you of the delay and recommend that clients wait in their cars until they are notified by the provider to enter.

Due to the most recent updates and recommendations regarding COVID-19, there has been a change in service delivery and all face-to-face appointments have been suspended.
Telepsychology services are available for virtual in person consultation, telephone follow-up and/or e-therapy.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION COVID-19 & APPOINTMENTS

In light of the unfolding health crisis that is affecting people all over the world, I would like to take this opportunity to address client’s who have scheduled appointments. Although this is a very anxious time for everyone, we all have a responsibility and role to play in our communities given the declared pandemic outbreak of COVID-19.

No doubt you’ve heard the terms like social isolation, hand washing and self-quarantine amidst media coverage and topics of discussion amongst friends, family and co-workers. As this situation is unfolding rapidly, please note the following information is effective immediately.

· All cancellation policies, notices and/or fees have been waived

· If you feel unwell (whether it be symptoms of a cold/flu or those of COVID-19) prior to a scheduled face-to-face appointment to please contact to cancel/reschedule your appointment

· If you have travelled outside the country within 14 days of your scheduled appointment, please contact the provider to reschedule/cancel your appointment

PSYolutions Inc. has always had the capacity to conduct Virtual In-Person appointments through the OnCall Health platform. If you feel more comfortable with receiving services through this platform or are anxious in any way about travelling or attending an appointment in person, then please contact me to make arrangements. We all play an important role in helping slow the progression and flatten the curve of infection rate.
