The basic principle of the Atkins diet is that a state of ketosis will help you burn your fat stores as energy.

You might know what the ketogenic diet is, but did you know that there are different ways of achieving ketosis and getting you to your goal weight?
How come certain people get into ketosis faster and easier than others? Why do some people get the keto flu while others don’t? Do you really start to get more energy?

We’ll be answering these questions as well as a few ways you can employ the ketogenic diet to help you lose weight.
It’s important to note that most people will find that they’ll have to go through a period where the body tries to adapt to the diet.
Most of us get a major chunk of our calories from carbs and protein.
With the keto diet, most of your calories will come from fat.
Because of this, you may experience carb withdrawal symptoms: low energy, headache, mood swings, nausea, thirst, difficulty sleeping… these are a few of the more common symptoms.

However, we are all biochemically unique – meaning everyone is different. So that means each person may experiences different types of symptoms to varying degrees of severity.
