Do you work night shifts? You need to prioritize sleep!
Here are a few tips for a better sleep.
- Wear sunglasses on the trip home in order to prepare you body for sleep
- Go to bed as soon as possible after your shift.
- Make your room as dark as possible or wear an eye mask to sleep
- Use a fan or white noise machine to block out noises.
- Turn off your phone ringer
- Establish relaxing bedtime rituals, such as a warm bath or shower.
- Eat a light and healthy, high protein bedtime snack.
- Leave the pets outside the bedroom.
- Take a nap 30 - 60 minutes prior to leaving for work.

Studies show that people with obstructive sleep apnea are more likely to suffer from depression. Loss of interest or pleasure, reduced appetite and weight loss or increased cravings for food and weight gain and feeling of sadness or emptiness are some of the symptoms of depression. Treat the sleep apnea and the symptoms of depression will decrease.

Des études ont montré que les patients souffrant d'apnée obstructive du sommeil sont plus susceptibles de souffrir de dépression.
