This morning we had the pleasure of attending the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce’s International Women’s Day Breakfast at the Caruso Club and what an inspiring event it was.

It was powerful to hear women sharing their stories, encouraging one another to lead with authenticity, confidence, and purpose.

Events like this are a great reminder of the strength that comes from supporting and uplifting one another. We’re grateful to be part of a community where women inspire women every day.

Thank you to the Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a meaningful morning. 👏

Nominations are Open ✨

We are now accepting nominations for the Craig Noble Award! This award was created in memory of a young man whose journey with ICAN reflected courage, personal growth, and a strong commitment to independence.

The award is open to persons ages 12–21 living with a physical disability who demonstrate ambition, a positive outlook, perseverance, and community involvement, the same qualities Craig embodied.

Here are a few of the most common ones:

❓ What is ICAN-CERD?
ICAN-CERD is a non-profit organization that offers inclusive programming designed to support individuals of varying ages and abilities.

❓What services do you offer?
We offer a wide range of services, including accessible housing, outreach services, life skills, physical activity programs. Visit our website to see more!

❓What are you service hours?
Our main office and Training Centre are open 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Our Outreach services are scheduled between 6am - 11pm daily.

Our Home Help services are scheduled between 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

Supportive Housing services are scheduled 24/7.

❓ How much are your services?
Most of our programs are free!

❓ How can I support your organization?
You can volunteer, donate, attend events, or help spread the word in our community.

Ontario’s health care system is at a breaking point. Essential services like meal deliveries and caregiver respite keep seniors safe at home, yet chronic underfunding is pushing our community safety net to the brink.

Today, OCSA is launching ‘Community Care is on Life Support’, a campaign to urge our government to invest in the Home Care and Community Support Services that keep Ontarians safe, healthy, at home, and out of hospitals.
