Many of you have shared how calm, grounded, and deeply relaxed you feel after our sound healing sessions. This isn’t just in your mind — it’s connected to your nervous system, and specifically, the vagus nerve.

The vagus nerve is one of the most important nerves in the body. It runs from the brain down through the face, throat, heart, lungs, and digestive organs. It plays a key role in activating the parasympathetic nervous system — the state where the body can rest, repair, and heal.

When you listen to the crystal quartz singing bowls, your body is not just hearing the sound — it is feeling the vibration. These gentle, sustained tones help signal safety to your nervous system.

As February comes to a close, I just want to take a moment to thank each of you who joined me for our Sunday sound healing sessions.

To witness you arrive, settle in, soften, and allow yourself to simply receive was truly an honor. These evenings were filled with warmth, stillness, and deep restoration — something we all deserve more of.

Sound healing is not just about the bowls. It’s about creating space. Space to breathe. Space to release. Space to return to yourself. And each of you helped create that space together.

I am so grateful for this growing community. 🤍

March begins next Sunday, and we will begin our journey through the chakras — starting with the Root and Sacral Chakra. These energy centers invite us to explore grounding, safety, creativity, and emotional flow.

How to Prepare for a Sound Bath ✨

A sound bath is a gentle yet powerful experience where vibration and frequency guide the body into deep rest. Preparing with intention allows you to receive the full benefits — physically, mentally, and energetically.

Here are a few simple ways to prepare:

• Come with an open mind
You don’t need to “do” anything. Simply allow yourself to receive. Every experience is different, and your body will take what it needs.

• Wear comfortable, cozy clothing
Your body temperature may drop as you relax deeply. Layers, warm socks, and softness help you fully settle.

• Avoid heavy meals right before
A light meal is best. This allows your nervous system to relax more easily without digestion competing for energy.

• Set a quiet intention (optional)
This could be as simple as: rest, release, clarity, or grounding. Intentions help guide your nervous system into a receptive state.

• Bring anything that helps you feel supported
A blanket, pillow, eye mask, or favorite cozy item can help your body feel safe enough to fully let go.

• Give yourself permission to rest
Some people drift into a dream-like state. Others remain aware. Both are perfect. Your nervous system is recalibrating through sound.

Sound Healing & Nervous System Regulation

Your nervous system is constantly listening.

It responds to your environment, your thoughts, your stress, and your pace of life. When life feels overwhelming, the nervous system shifts into protection mode — often called “fight or flight.”

In this state, the body holds tension.
Breathing becomes shallow.
Sleep can be disrupted.
The mind struggles to fully rest.

Frequency, Vibration, and the Body

Everything in your body is in motion.
Every cell. Every breath. Every heartbeat carries its own natural rhythm — its own frequency.

When we experience stress, illness, emotional overwhelm, or fatigue, these natural rhythms can become disrupted. The nervous system moves into survival mode. The body holds tension. Energy becomes stagnant.

This is where sound healing becomes so powerful.

Crystal singing bowls produce pure, stable frequencies. When these vibrations move through the body, they gently invite your system to return to its natural state of balance.

What you may feel after a sound bath — and why 🤍

Sound baths invite the body into a deeply relaxed state — something many of us rarely allow ourselves to fully experience.

When the nervous system shifts out of “fight or flight” and into “rest and digest,” the body begins to release tension that may have been held for weeks, months, or even years.

For most people, this feels like:

• Deep calm
• Better sleep
• Mental clarity
• Emotional lightness

Occasionally, some people may notice temporary sensations afterward, such as:

• Fatigue
• Headache
• Emotional sensitivity
• Digestive movement or bloating
• Feeling more inward or quiet

This is not something to fear. It is often the nervous system and body adjusting to a slower, more regulated state.

Sound works gently with both the physical body and energetic system. Areas connected to the solar plexus, heart, and nervous system can become more active as the body releases stored tension and returns to balance.

This is why rest, hydration, and gentle grounding are so important after a session.

Final Sunday Sound Bath of February ✨

This Sunday marks the final session of our February Sound Bath Series at Good Vibes Wellness Centre.

I want to sincerely thank every person who took the time to come in, lie down, and give themselves permission to rest this month. In a season that often asks us to push through the cold, the darkness, and the heaviness of winter, you chose something different. You chose stillness.

Winter is not a time of constant motion. It is a time of quiet restoration. A time to breathe more deeply. To listen more closely. To soften.

Over the past few Sundays, we’ve shared space in sound — allowing the steady tones of the crystal bowls to slow the nervous system, quiet the mind, and remind the body what it feels like to simply be.

So many of you have shared that you’ve slept more deeply, felt calmer, or noticed a sense of peace that stayed with you long after the session ended. This is the power of slowing down. This is the power of giving your system a moment to reset.

This Sunday is our final opportunity to close February together in this space.

A gentle invitation to reflect on the past month…
To notice what has shifted.
To take one full breath without rushing to the next thing.

There is nothing you need to do.
