We had such a wonderful and fulfilling time last week at ACCA’s Seniors Social sharing  on How Laughter Supports Health & Well-Being.

From big smiles to heartfelt conversations, it was a joy to explore how laughter can reduce stress, boost mood, and strengthen connection at every stage of life. Thank you to everyone who joined us and laughed along, your presence and participation made the afternoon truly special!

We kicked off our 2026 community engagement and complimentary services earlier this month with Peel Senior Link (https://www.linkedin.com/in/peel-senior-link/). It was a rewarding experience educating residents on the importance of social connection and meaningful interaction.
The session included engaging, friendly competition through games, with prizes awarded to our winners and smiles all around.

Beyond the business side of our work, community engagement is deeply fulfilling for us. It reflects our commitment to giving back, supporting older adults, and strengthening the communities we serve.

We are excited to continue creating opportunities that foster connection, inclusion, and well-being throughout 2026.

We had the pleasure of attending the Greater Golden Horseshoe Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards in Hamilton, beautifully hosted and organized by Evelyn Myrie of Empower Strategy Group, a respected community leader and advocate whose work continues to strengthen equity and belonging across our region.

It was a great gathering that brought together leaders, changemakers and community builders from across the region.

A true highlight was hearing from the Honourable Dr Jean Augustine, Canada‘s first Black woman elected to Parliament and a lifelong champion for education, equity and social justice. Her words were uplifting with groundbreaking work and lifelong commitment to equity which continues to inspire us all. Her words on leadership, resilience and community empowerment deeply resonated.

Grateful for spaces like this that celebrate excellence, amplify diverse voices and strengthen our communities .

Remembering Our Heroes.
Today, The Vine Care joins Canadians across the nation in remembering the courage and sacrifice of those who served and continue to serve our country.
Their strength and selflessness remind us of the values we hold close: community, compassion, and care for one another.
As we pause for a moment of silence, we honour not only the heroes who gave their lives, but also the families and caregivers who stood beside them with unwavering love and resilience.

What do you make of this art?
What we see is often shaped by what we read into it: our experiences, beliefs, and even our moods. Two people can look at the same picture, the same situation, and walk away with completely different meanings.
Let us remind ourselves daily to look with empathy, patience, and hope because what we choose to see shapes our opinion and attitudes towards others.
