To the survivors: you were asked to carry what no one should. And still, you chose healing over hate. For that, we are forever in your debt. Thank you for rebuilding what was meant to be destroyed.

Let’s talk about how power protects itself through denial. What if denying the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi isn't just ignorance but a calculated extension of white supremacy? Who benefits when the truth is erased?

If you cannot name it, don’t message, or post. The Genocide against the Tutsi has a name, a history, and survivors who carry its truth with courage. We are not waiting for validation. We always rise.

In the aftermath of the Holocaust, few could have fathomed that another genocide could unfold, this time targeting the Tutsi. Yet today, we bear witness to at least 10 other genocides that have either transpired or continue to unfold across the globe. To the survivors and victims: whatever steps you take to heal and safeguard your communities, remember that you owe no one an explanation. We must stand united in the pledge of "Never Again."

We remember, we grieve, we rise. Survivors carry the weight of the past with unshakable strength. From the ashes of geno...

Our brains are made to seek safety, but nature teaches us that growth and transformation cannot happen without change.

Do not let your brain convince you to choose comfort above all else. You are meant to grow and prosper; without change, that is impossible.

The brain, a small organ that makes up only 2% of your body mass, uses 50% of your body’s glucose. It does so because, as the primary command center of the body, it is wired to prioritize its survival.

Think of your eating habits during stressful times. When there is a stressor, your brain releases hormones that signal the body to take in a lot of energy to deal with the perceived threat. Because of this high energy demand, you will eat high-calorie foods, to give the brain a quick and temporary energy boost.

Today, we invite you to embrace that just as nature slows down, so can YOU.
Rest is not laziness; it is your birthright. Your body needs rest to be well and to function.

Happy Wednesday!

Sometimes a hug, or a ‘I am so sorry for your loss’ is all someone needs. However, we often fear not saying the right thing.

We are well-intentioned when we tell people to move on. We want to comfort them by encouraging them to focus on something positive.
The problem with this is that it can feel as though you are minimizing someone’s pain, not acknowledging that what they are going through is hard.

Let us learn to be there, in silence, with a hug, or with the best words we can find to comfort our loved ones as they grieve in their own ways.
