ππ‘ Keep Your Vision Green in Guelph!
Contact lens users, here's a game-changer for sustainability: Guelph optometrists, including Dr. Christine Main at Cardow Optical, are making it easier than ever to reduce waste! Through the Bausch + Lomb "Every Contact Counts Free Recycling Program" with TerraCycle Canada, you can now drop off your used contact lenses and blister packs at participating locations.
Dr. Main emphasizes the program's importance, saying, "My patients are so happy to know their contact lenses wonβt end up as microplastics in our oceans. This simple act makes a big difference."
Why it matters:
Over 290 million contact lenses end up in Canadian landfills and waterways each year.
These non-biodegradable materials break into microplastics, harming wildlife and water supplies.
Where to recycle:

π Eyewell: Dr. Lukito & Associates Optometry
π Edinburgh Optometry
π Royal City Optometry
