We are happy to announce that our new friends will be joining our LTC home on Friday this week!

While we adopted the pair at the beginning of June, we had some unexpected hurdles to overcome with Sunshine's health. After vet visits, we are told he is perfectly healthy but does have a genetic condition that presents as tremors. We love him just the same though!

After debating on what to name them, our residents have decided to go with Rainbow (teal and yellow) and Sunshine aka "Hiccup" (yellow). We already love them and hope they settle well into our lounge space! Welcome home friends!!🐦💛💙

As part of June's Senior' month celebrations, we held a voting session for our Senior Awards on both sides of the home. Thank you to all the residents, staff, and families that voted for this year's recipients! Once tallied, we hosted ceremonies throughout July and had such a great time celebrating all of the amazing seniors in our home!🎉🏆

Yesterday, a few of our residents from LTC went on a CharterAbility Boat Tour. Although the weather was a bit unsure what it wanted to do, they were able to get onto the water and enjoy the afternoon on the lake. We look forward to going again in September!🚤🌊

What have we been up to lately? So many things!

We celebrated all of our mothers earlier in the month with a special tea and entertainment with Vili V.

We hosted our first Spring Bazaar & Plant Sale, which raised $997.69 for our resident councils! Residents, staff, and family enjoyed some shopping at our booths and even got a chance for a photo shoot!

We have gone on some very exciting excursions into the community and enjoyed scenic tours. We even went out and purchased beautiful flowers for our gardens!

We tried our hand at crafting with cards and lavender. They smell so good and look beautiful too!

Just wait to see what we do next!🚐🌼🫖🎶

As the weather warms up, we are excited to announce that we will be hosting a Spring Bazaar on Saturday, May 24th from 10AM-3PM. Come on out and support our resident council! We will have a 50/50 raffle, plants/baked goods for sale, craft vendors, a photo booth, and more. We hope to see you there, rain or shine!🌷🌞🌼

On February 26th we hosted a Pink Shirt Day to raise awareness for Anti-Bullying. Staff, residents, and family were encouraged to wear their best and brightest pink outfits to support the cause! Residents also worked hard on art projects to further celebrate this spirit day.

We want to reinforce our commitment to a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment at The Wellington. This day is all about kindness and bringing awareness about the effects of bullying. Thank you all for your support!🩷🩷
