This one is back to the basics- STEPS CHALLENGE.

The rules:
āž”ļøTo gain entry into the contest send $10 to [email protected]
When we start each day you will:
āž”ļø fill out all questions of the habit form even if you didnā€™t do something (enter: na or didnā€™t do it)
āž”ļø get 7500 steps per day for AN EXTRA ENTRY per week.

You can literally get 5 steps a day and as long as you enter that into your BAM fitness app youā€™re still entered into one of the draws!

We start Monday! If you miss a day in the app you can go back and do catch up as each form allows for you to change the date to enter back data.

I need a kick in the rear so I bet Iā€™m not alone.
I know Iā€™ll feel like a completely different person if I do this challenge all of October so LFG.

3 Hours Walking (or pickleball, jogging, biking etc)
2 Hours Strength Training
1 Hour Stretching

Per week. Break it up how you see fit or tackle it in hour long chunks. This Could Look like 6 workouts per week that are 30 mins cardio, 20 mins Strength Training, 10 minutes Stretching, rinse and repeat.

We were 600+ people deep today. All soaking wet by the end of it, frozen toes and fingersšŸ„¶

Great job runners/teachers/coaches!
Ended up with 16 heats today, finishing up around 2:30pm.

Grade 1 - HighSchool AND Some teachers and adults raced too in the Open categoryšŸƒšŸƒā€ā™€ļøšŸƒā€ā™‚ļø

We owe a HUGE thank you to all 20 TWENTY VOLUNTEERS today from the Hardisty Playschool, Representatives from Battle River Dance Academy and Bill,Bev and the Battle River Series crew for making this happen.

Every single person you saw running things today was volunteering, Hardisty always has big community spirit!

Hope everyone warms up and good luck on the rest of the Battle River Series races šŸ’ŖšŸ»

PSA

THURSDAY SEPT 12 is the annual Hardisty Kids XC Race.

We are looking at around 500 kids again.

Registration/ Check in is 9am.
Walkthroughs 10am - should be all wrapped up around 2pm

Note:
I will be marking trails today and markers/signs will be picked up by Monday.

ARENA parking lot will be FULL but Rocks Diner is still open. Thereā€™s a kids race special menu that day as well.

Busses will be parking in front of Allan Johnstone School and then overflow will be directed. Absolutely no personal vehicles are allowed to park in front of the school. Park in the arena parking lot, or on the street.

The whole location will be very very congested and busy so proceed with caution. Local traffic only on 51st, and you may have to use the back alleys at times.

Start line is 51st and 50th ave. Runners will cross the lake road and there will be course marshalls parked along the way to direct traffic and children.

Come out and cheer the kids if you have some free time!
