👀 Is Your Child Struggling at School… or Just Their Eyes?

Most parents notice myopia (nearsightedness) easily — squinting at the board, sitting too close to screens, or blurry distance vision.

Hyperopia (farsightedness) is trickier. Kids may seem distracted, fidgety, or avoid reading — but their eyes are actually working overtime to focus.

Symptoms can include:
✨ Eye rubbing or headaches after homework
✨ Trouble concentrating on close-up tasks
✨ Fatigue or frustration

💡 The takeaway: Even if your child says they can see fine, a full eye exam is the only way to catch hidden vision problems early.

Regular exams = clear vision + less eye strain + better focus.

👁️ Menopause & Your Eyes: What You Need to Know

Menopause brings big changes — and your eyes aren’t immune. Hormonal shifts can cause:
🔥 Dry, irritated, or “gritty” eyes
👓 Blurry or fluctuating vision
🌞 Increased light sensitivity
👀 Contact lens discomfort

These changes often start during perimenopause and can vary over time.

💡 Protect Your Vision:
✅ Regular eye exams
✅ Manage dry eyes (artificial tear drops, humidifiers)
✅ Healthy diet & lifestyle
✅ Sunglasses & screen breaks
✅ Talk to your doctor about hormone therapy

Your eyes matter — staying proactive helps you see clearly through every stage of life.

👓 New Glasses Feeling Weird?

It’s normal for new glasses to take a little getting used to—but if they feel off, there’s usually a reason! Harrow Eye Care checks all the details to make sure your vision is crisp and comfortable.

Here’s what matters most:
✅ Lens curve & material
✅ Frame wrap & tilt
✅ Pupils & optical centre
✅ Progressive or bifocal alignment

💡 Tip: If they don’t feel right, don’t struggle—book a quick adjustment. The right fit makes all the difference!
