Staff and residents would like to send out a very happy 103rd birthday to our very own Angela.🎂We would like to thank everyone for coming out to make her day special. Thank you to Judy and family for the wonderful music and food and a beautiful cake. Thank you to Jerome Cole for playing music and to Mayor Gary Goobie for stoping by to wish her a Happy Birthday, he even had a scuff on the dance floor. 🥳

All staff, residents and families would like to send out a huge thank you to the staff and residents of Callingwood Downs. Thank you for making our residents feel welcomed and at home while there during this unexpected evacuation. In a time like this friendly welcomes and kindness goes a long way with keeping our residents calm while having to leave their home. Again thank you from all of us it just don’t seem enough.

We again would like to send out a huge thank you to Burseys Bus Service. They made it a smooth transition getting our residents back home safely with big smiles happy to be home. I didn’t catch this gentleman’s name but he was with us on both trips and was very friendly and kind with everyone which we appreciate more than you know again thank you don’t seem like enough.

We would like to update our residents and families, we got some good news today they were opening up some of the evacuated areas but unfortunately we as a seniors home have to go through a different protocol. We are awaiting for clearance from environmental division and then move forward to get everyone home. As soon as we have the go ahead we will be contacting families for transition back to the home. We thank everyone for their patience and support during this time and hope everyone will be home soon.

Staff and residents would like to send out a huge thank you to Bursey’s Bus Service. Yesterday when we called them they were there very promptly and made our residents transition from our home to another with ease and kindness. We are so grateful for your service. In this unfortunate circumstance thank you don’t seem like enough. Again, thank you so much for your time and patience it will not be forgotten.
