🌱 Nourish to Flourish 🌱

March is Nutrition Month! A time to reflect on how the foods we eat support our health, energy, and overall well-being.

When we nourish our bodies, we give ourselves the building blocks to flourish—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

✨ Eating well can help support:
• Steady energy throughout the day
• Strong immune function
• Brain health and focus
• Growth and development for children
• Long-term health and disease prevention

You don’t need a perfect diet to feel the benefits. Small, sustainable choices add up:
🥕 Add a vegetable or fruit to your meals and snacks
🥣 Include protein and fibre regularly in the day to stay satisfied
đź’§ Stay hydrated with sugar-free fluids
🍽️ Slow down and enjoy your meals
🥣 Eat enough carbohydrates throughout the day

Nutrition is about caring for yourself in a way that helps you feel your best and live fully. This Nutrition Month, let’s focus on nourishing ourselves so we can truly flourish. 🌼

This Sunday, March 8th is International Women’s Day! 💜

From patients to caregivers, clinicians to researchers, women play vital roles across every part of our healthcare system.
Yet many women still face barriers to equitable care, gaps in research, and health challenges that deserve greater attention and support.
Today is a reminder to continue advocating for women’s health, amplifying women’s voices in healthcare, and working toward a system where every woman has access to compassionate, inclusive, and evidence-based care.

Here’s to the women who inspire us everyday

NPLCs bring together Nurse Practitioners, nurses, social workers, dietitians, mental health providers, and allied professionals — working collaboratively under a clear MRP model.

When roles are clear and care is coordinated, patients experience better outcomes and fewer gaps.

March 4 is HPV Awareness Day, so let’s take a second to get informed.

HPV stands for human papillomavirus, and it spreads by intimate skin-to-skin contact during vaginal, oral or a**l sexual activity.

It’s very common – about 75% of sexually active people will get at least one HPV infection in their lifetime. Most people will never know they had it because it often doesn’t cause symptoms.

In most cases, HPV infections come and go within a few years. But sometimes it doesn’t go away and can lead to cancer.

Heart disease prevention doesn’t begin in the hospital — it begins in primary care.
