Ayurveda is life wisdom.
We are all born with a dominant dosha. The essence of Ayurveda, is to work towards continued balance, as our external environment is forever changing.
The winter season invites us into our yin - restful and reflective - to reflect nature. She invites us to ground, through warm teas, soups and root vegetables.
This, all with consideration of your dominant dosha.
Reach out if you would like help discovering yours, and what is right for you this time of year.
Blessings.

Thoughts i share for you to ponder if you please.
The first day of 2026, a new calendar year according to the gregorian calendar. A calendar we were taught, and like much else in our modern world, have never thought to question.
Consider this, within a typical year, we have 13 moons and 28-day cycles within those moons. This system is based on natural cycles, and in indigenous culture, represented visually by the turtle's shell.
Women, menstruating or not, run on a 28 day cycle. If we aren't, it is likely due to the great disconnect we have with the rythym nature.
Do you think, just perhaps, that the Gregorian calendar was part of disempowering us? Along with the secrecy and shame build up around our me**es, our moon cycle? Along with so many things such as burning the witch (aka medicine woman)?
Silencing us, slowly removing us from our innate power of simply being a woman?
Why was our femininity and our me**es not honoured and celebrated?
What a beautiful moment of meaning in a young women's life - to be able to create another, inside our bodies...to birth.
Although we do live in a world with this current calendar, we can take a moment to recognize & honour what once was, and invite back in, all of its wisdom.
Each month, the moon presents us with sacred opportunity of great remembering. Opportunity through the 28 day lunar cycle, to honour ourselves with each new, waning, full, and waxing phase - the way we were intended to.
I believe we as a collective are on our way to great healing. Where the feminine, and the masculine, will meet to rise up, working with one another, not againsts, to complimement eachother in the way that we were intended to….where the true power lives.
Blessings to all for 2026. Blessings in the energy of the first moon, the Spirit Moon. 🌕 🙏✨

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is an ancient technique for reducing stress, promoting relaxation & encouraging the body into a more balanced state of well-being. It is a gentle, subtle, yet profound energy healing art.
Reiki comes from two Japanese words: Rei - meaning Universal, higher knowledge or spiritual consciousness.
Ki - meaning life force or energy.
Reiki is spiritually guided, life force energy.

Liver work, she is deep... so often overlooked and seen merely as physical. The liver is associated with anger - irritability, resentment, frustration. If you are finding yourself in these lower vibrational emotions, too often for comfort, and/or waking consistently, anywhere between 1 & 3am, it's a good time to take a dive into your liver.
Although you can help support this incredible organ outwardly, through Earth's medicine - milk thistle as example - it's the getting deep with the emotional work that will have the real impact.
We have to clear out the "stuck", internal/emotional cleansing so to speak, in order to begin to fully receive and uptake the support we give ourselves from outward sources. So true for most aspects of healing.
Working on ways to also support your Throat Chakra can be one place to start. All of those unspoken words, not being true to yourself - these accumulate in places of your body... specifically the liver, which can end up turning into feelings of anger. Sing, hum/chant HAM, the seed sound that helps to open/balance your Throat Chakra. And know that you are worthy of being heard - practice sharing how your feel about things that matter, practice saying no, without having to justify...BUT also, and very importantly, practice doing so out of the place of your heart, out of love, and doing no harm.
Take is slow, as this is like working a muscle - you will build strength and it will get easier over time.
What are you having trouble expressing?

The liver is not asking for more lemon, more tea, or another supplement. What it craves is your honesty.

We treat it like a machine, a chemical processor, yet it’s more than that. It is a guardian, a witness, a vessel holding every unspoken word, every compromise you made to keep others comfortable, every “yes” that should have been a “no.”

Every time you swallow anger to protect someone else, every time you mask discomfort to be acceptable, every time you deny your own truth for the sake of peace—the liver takes note. It stores it. It tightens. It reacts. This is not metaphor. It is memory in flesh, energy coded into biology, ancestral echoes held in tissue.

No cleanse, no potion, no ritual can undo this if you keep living in denial. Your body will not release until your soul can.

Healing begins not with what you put into your body—but with what you release from your spirit. Speak your truth. End the contracts you never signed consciously. Protect your anger, your softness, your boundaries, your blood from absorbing compromise. Stop being the caretaker of unspoken feelings, of others’ expectations.

Your liver is exhausted from holding what you refuse to claim. When you finally honor yourself, when you say your no without apology, when you stop negotiating your essence for approval, your liver breathes. Freedom is not a juice—it is the courage to stand fully in your own truth.

Oh so beautiful. My wish is that everyone finds ways to slow down during the dark season, to retreat inward, invite sacredness, and rest in the reflection of the year. Welcoming back the slow return of the sun - may it light your way. ✨🙏☀️🤍

Winter is kind if we change the way we look at it. Within the busy lives we live today, we too often forget - nature and the seasons, carry the wisdom we once knew. Winter invites us back to this deep remembering - to walk a little slower, the permission to retreat inward, shed our “leaves” that we no longer need, and to send that energy to places unseen - much like plants let go and continue growth deep within their roots.
My Solstice wish for you, is that you sit with the thought of allowing yourself to feel more connected to nature and the seasons. 🙏💜✨

The winter solstice time is no longer celebrated as it once was, with the understanding that this is a period of descent and rest, of going within our homes, within ourselves and taking in all that we have been through, all that has passed in this full year which is coming to a close... like nature and the animal kingdom around us, this time of hibernation is so necessary for our tired limbs, our burdened minds.

Our modern culture teaches avoidance at a max at this time; alcohol, lights, shopping, overworking, over spending, comfort food and consumerism.

And yet the natural tug to go inwards as nearly all creatures are doing is strong and the weather so bitter that people are left feeling that winter is hard, because for those of us without burning fires and big festive families, it can be lonely and isolating.

Whereas in actual fact winter is kind, she points us in her quiet soft way towards our inner self, towards this annual time of peace and reflection, embracing the darkness and forgiving, accepting and loving embracing goodbye the past year.
