Save the Date! 💙🏃

The 3rd Annual Nicholas’ Run/Walk for Youth Mental Health is happening Saturday, November 1st, 2025 at Pioneer Park in Kamloops, BC!

This event is so close to our hearts 💙 It’s a day to come together as a community, honour Nicholas’ legacy, and raise awareness and support for youth mental health.

All funds raised will go directly toward Foundry Kamloops, helping us open our doors and provide care and connection for young people in our community.

Mark your calendars, spread the word and get ready for an amazing morning supporting youth mental health!

Idris speaks as a leader and advocate who understands how hard it can be for youth and caregivers to ask for and access help. He shares why Foundry Kamloops is essential—not only because of the services it offers—but because of the safe space it creates for youth to show up as their full selves.

“Foundry Kamloops is a space where you don’t have to hide who you are. You can be vulnerable, and you’ll be supported.”

We’re getting close—less than $1 million left to raise. Your donation can help open the doors to a place where youth feel safe, valued, and empowered.

We’re thrilled to share that an anonymous donor has made an extraordinary gift of $415,000 to the Foundry Kamloops Capital Campaign! This generous contribution brings us within reach of our goal — with less than $1 million left to raise before Foundry Kamloops opens its doors to local youth next summer.

This gift is a powerful reminder of what our community can achieve when we come together with a shared purpose — to create a space where young people can access mental health, wellness, and peer and substance-use supports in one welcoming place.

Every donation--big or small--helps make this vision a reality.

💙 Today is World Mental Health Day 💙
This year’s theme reminds us that mental health is a universal right — something we all deserve, no matter who we are or where we come from.

At Foundry Kamloops, we’re here to walk alongside youth and families, making it easier to access the care, connection, and support that everyone deserves.

Let’s continue breaking the stigma, building hope, and supporting each other because mental health matters every day. 🌍✨

Wellness Wednesday: Sliding into Fall

As the seasons shift, it’s a great time to pause and check in with yourself. Fall is all about balance, slowing down after a busy summer, setting routines, and creating space for what keeps you grounded.

Prioritizing wellness this fall can look like:
• Getting outside for crisp autumn walks
• Setting healthy sleep and work routines
• Taking time to reflect, reset, and recharge
• Staying connected with friends, family, and community

At Foundry Kamloops, we know that small steps toward wellness can make a big difference. That’s why we’re working to build a safe, inclusive space where youth aged 12–24 can access physical, mental, and emotional health supports all under one roof.

We’re getting closer to opening our doors, but we need your help to make it happen! Support the Foundry Kamloops Capital Campaign and help bring this vital youth hub to life.

Wellness Wednesday!

Sometimes the best thing you can do for your mental health is to log off and unplug.

Stepping away from screens gives your brain a chance to rest, reduces stress, and helps you reconnect with the world around you. Whether it’s a log roll down a hill, a walk outside or spending time with friends, taking breaks from being online can boost your mood and overall well-being.

At Foundry Kamloops, we’re working hard to create a welcoming space where youth can access the tools and supports they need to thrive. We’re currently fundraising for our Capital Campaign to bring this centre to life in downtown Kamloops. Every donation brings us closer to providing vital supports to youth in our community!

🧡 3 Ways to Observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 🧡

1. Be informed – Learn about Indigenous history and the lasting impacts of the residential school system. Listening to Survivors’ stories and seeking out Indigenous-led resources is an important step toward reconciliation.

2. Engage locally – Take part in events in your community, like those here in Kamloops, that center Indigenous voices. Building understanding close to home helps create stronger connections and meaningful change.

3. Wear an orange shirt – Orange Shirt Day honours the children who never returned home and the Survivors of residential schools. Wearing orange is a visible reminder that Every Child Matters.

Together, let’s reflect, learn, and commit to walking the path of reconciliation.
