Just a reminder to those customers who are trying to make chicken batches at home.. raw must be nutritionally balanced with 80% muscle meat (heart is a muscle meat), 10% bone and 10% secreting organ (can be only liver but must be a minimum of 50% liver).

Please refer to my article on page 27 for an easy recipe, or please contact me with any questions and I will advise as I can. I do not want to hear of any cats getting nutritional deficiencies due to lack of knowledge/info!!

One of vets biggest concern or issues with raw is usually that pet owners will only feed breast and assume it’s balanced. Chicken breast is low in taurine like rabbit, so it is advised to use dark working muscles like thigh meat instead.

Soul Raw will be closing down indefinitely.

I appreciate all the people I have met, and it was an honour to help cats thrive the way nature intended. 🥰

I still feel there is a huge gap in the market for whole prey and whole prey ground raw, but need space to figure out my next chapter.

I have always promoted variety in conjunction with my raw, but to those who need a couple orders to transition, I will try my best to assist, and advise other potential suppliers.

We are still limiting whole prey day old chick stock due to the shortage after the avian flu (**supply is limited until the next restock), but have lots of ground quail/chicks available.

On a fun note, the new breeding stock has provided us with multicoloured DOC!

I believe variety is key to achieve optimal nutrition and stimulation (especially with whole prey where you are getting all organs and fur/feathers), and what better way that a cats most natural catch - a rodent.

These grinds are great for cats that wouldn’t eat whole prey otherwise (or humans that can’t handle dealing with it). Where I find my cats would prefer a jumbo mice versus a similar sized rat, most of them (even those that wouldn’t touch either whole) enjoyed ground rat.

For cost many customers will feed a 50%+ base of ground chicken, and then mix and match variety based on their cats preferences.

A well loved toy at its last legs. 😂❤️ Although the centre (mylar) will last and still be super fun because of the fluttering and sound.
