❤️ if you like a nice bowl or snack style meal!

In our work as dietitians, we talk a lot about building balanced meals. Meals that contain a few different types of foods to make sure we’re getting protein, fat, carbohydrates, and fiber. Sauces and spices added in to help enhances the flavor and make the meal enjoyable and satisfying.

Swipe for a sample balanced snack style lunch plate! It includes:
- smoked tofu
- hummus
- cottage cheese
- crackers
- sliced summer sausage
- vegetables (🥒🍅🫑)

This is a simple meal or snack to put together. Is a great meal to use up foods you have in the fridge or if you’re short for time to make or eat it!

Summer is almost here and more of us are out biking, running, hiking, and swimming! Do you struggle with eating foods before a workout or eating during a long workout such as a run or cycling?

Our gut is a muscle that can be trained to take in more food over time while reducing digestive complaints (bye abdomen pain and nausea!). Start with small volumes and work up over time to the amount that will supply your body with adequate energy.
