Did you know there are different types of stutters?

Friday's feature: a homemade board game ✨

This kiddo was given the task of creating & constructing a board game of his choice. The project involved research (computer skills), creativity, typing (computer skills), cutting (scissor skills), planning (executive function skills), constructing (fine motor skills) and so much more.
& the final product is an awesome game of checkers with a twist!

This project was an absolute blast! It was amazing to see this kiddos imagination and creativity come together. The best part of all, we couldn't stop laughing while playing the game!! 🥳

What a fun day! 🚎 🛒 🍕

This kiddo did an incredible job learning the local bus route, figuring out what time the bus would pick us up and drop us off, as well as learning public transit etiquette!
We took the bus to a local grocery store to find the ingredients needed to make himself lunch - learning how to navigate a grocery store and pay for his items.
We then hopped on the bus and went back to his house to cook up a tasty pizza lunch! He was in charge of it all, grating, chopping, spreading, cutting and using the oven!

I love seeing the proud look on a kiddos face when they accomplish such a big task! Keep up the great work bud.

What is a tripod grasp? ✍🏼

A tripod grasp is a type of grasp involving the use of 3 fingers - middle, index and thumb. Children typically develop this grasp around 3-4 years of age. The development of the tripod grasp is important for holding a pencil (printing)!
