THE GLABELLA DIFFERENCE | This patient transformation is a little different than what I usually share. The after photo was taken four months after her Dysport® injections, which is typically when the most movement begins to return (aka when we take the next “before” photos). As you can see, her glabellar muscles were still substantially more relaxed months after treatment. While neuromodulator results don’t usually fade in a gradual, linear way, this is a great example of how completely individualized the cadence of neuromodulator treatments can be—depending on factors like metabolism, muscle strength and facial anatomy. “FILLER MAKES YOU LOOK OLDER.” | It’s a valid concern, but dermal filler itself doesn’t cause you to look older. Overuse, poor placement, and not treating the face holistically can cause results that look unnatural and may even cause individuals to appear older than they are (the exact opposite of what it’s intended to do). For some patients, that early change is reassurance that everything is settling in just as it should. That said, the real magic happens gradually.
