Dementia isn't one size fits all, it impacts everyone differently. But there are some common signs and symptoms to be aware of.

These key symptoms include memory loss, confusion, difficulty concentrating, or even changes in mood.

As families and friends gather this Easter weekend, behavioural changes may become more apparent in loved ones who are living with undiagnosed dementia.

Displaying these signs and behaviours doesn’t mean that you’re definitely developing dementia. But if you recognise them in yourself or a loved one, you should discuss them with a GP.

Share our AI action figure to educate a friend and make sure they're aware of the signs to look out for.

💔 Feeling Broken? You're Not Alone. ❤️

We all experience those moments when life knocks us down. The heartbreak, the defeat, the loneliness, the overwhelming sadness... it can feel like the weight of the world is on our shoulders. It's okay to not be okay. It's okay to feel broken. Healing takes time, but it is possible.

Here are a few gentle reminders and tips for navigating those tough times:

Acknowledge and Validate Your Feelings: Don't try to push the pain away. Allow yourself to feel the sadness, anger, or whatever emotions arise. These feelings are valid and a natural part of the healing process. Think of them as waves - they will rise and fall.

Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself. Imagine what you'd say to a dear friend going through the same thing. Offer yourself that same compassion and understanding. Now is the time for extra gentleness, not harsh self-criticism.

Small Steps, Big Impact: Healing isn't a race. Focus on small, manageable steps each day. Maybe it's getting out of bed, taking a shower, or simply enjoying a cup of tea. These small victories can build momentum and make a big difference over time.

Connect with Others: Reach out to trusted friends, family, or a support group. Sharing your feelings can lighten the load and remind you that you're not alone. Human connection is a powerful healer.

Engage in Activities You Enjoy: Even if you don't feel like it, try to engage in activities that used to bring you joy. It could be listening to music, reading a book, spending time in nature, or pursuing a hobby. These activities can help distract you from negative thoughts and boost your mood.

Focus on Self-Care: Prioritize your physical and mental well-being. Get enough sleep, eat nutritious foods, and engage in some form of exercise, even if it's just a short walk. Taking care of yourself is crucial for healing.

Seek Professional Help: If you're struggling to cope, don't hesitate to reach out to a therapist or counselor. They can provide 1 a safe space for you to process your emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms. There's no shame in seeking help – it's a sign of strength.
Remember, healing is a journey, not a destination. There will be good days and bad days. Be patient with yourself, celebrate your progress, and know that brighter days are ahead. You are stronger than you think. ❤️

Disappointment is a natural part of life, but it can be incredibly challenging to navigate. When things don't go as planned or hopes are dashed, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and defeated.

But it's important to remember that disappointment is not a reflection of your worth or abilities. It's simply a part of the human experience. Instead of letting disappointment consume you, try to see it as an opportunity for growth and learning.

Take some time to sit with your feelings and process them. Allow yourself to feel disappointed, but also remind yourself that this feeling won't last forever. Look for ways to reframe the situation and find a silver lining.

Seek support from friends, family, or a therapist who can help you work through your emotions and provide guidance on how to move forward. Remember that setbacks are not the end of the road, but rather a chance to redirect your path and discover new opportunities. Stay hopeful and keep moving forward, knowing that brighter days are ahead.
