This weekend the Pinecrest Recreation team sprung into thoughts of spring with a ā€˜Reminiscing about Herbsā€™ activity in each of the home areas, because SPRING IS GONA BE HERE SOON! šŸ¤ž
Residents enjoyed a group book club reading and discussion on the topic of herbs šŸŖ“.
Staff guided residents through a herb smelling / guessing exercise and then invited residents to make their own herbed cream cheese to enjoy on crackers.

At Pinecrest we have a small but mighty library. Residents are so thankful for this space. Our residents work hard to keep it organized and in good working order. At this time residents would like to do a refresh campaign on their library. The recreation department is seeking donations of gently used books and puzzles. Sunday was ā€˜National Peanut Butter Lovers Dayā€™.

Of course we celebrated with any residents who LOVE peanut butter. The day was a whole lot of fun and yum. All over the home residents were making peanut butter balls.

Thank you also to the Dietary Program for making a very special dinner dessert option: Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares.

Join our team and work alongside our Physiotherapist supporting our residents in a rewarding healthcare environment.

Position Details:
ā€¢ Mondayā€“Friday (weekends off!)
ā€¢ Full-time and Part-time
ā€¢ Hours negotiable
ā€¢ $26.45ā€“$29.10 per hour

What weā€™re looking for:
ā€¢ Experience in a healthcare setting
ā€¢ Seating and mobility knowledge
ā€¢ Experience with lifts and transfers (an asset)
ā€¢ Passion for working with the geriatric population
ā€¢ BSc in Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, or PTA/OTA diploma considered an asset
