Based in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia, Common Ground is a new, unique service provider, supporting individuals with various disabilities and mental health challenges in a living environment that is person-centered, empowering, and fulfilling for both clients and personal-support workers. Disability care is a quickly evolving field, and we believe that being at the forefront of this change is exciting and extremely important. Our organization is derived from a common goal: we believe that all voices, especially those in our care, should be involved in a continuous dialogue when it comes to choice and well-being.

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
A two-year diploma in a human services–related field preferred
Core competency - Standard First Aid/CPR level C, Non-violent Crisis Intervention, Medication Awareness, Fire and Life Safety, Health and Personal Care, Behavioural Supports is an asset
Have a valid driver’s license
Updated Vulnerable Sector record
Experience working with people with multiple diagnoses that have varying levels of behavioral challenges is an asset.
