So, I’ve been super quiet.

I haven’t been feeling very good about my body over the winter, battling injuries, moved 2x since September, puppy, old dog, work, and family business!

Here’s the progress I’ve had since March when I started lifting. I was favoring my shoulder, turns out it’s all good now, lifting isn’t bothering me!

Week 5 of a body building program and loving feeling STRONG again! I feel the most like myself when I’m lifting. That’s where my confidence comes from!

How’s everyone body moving journeys going? Need help? Drop me a line and I’ll try to offer advice. Not looking for clients at this time.

Unlike other naturally occurring salts, Epsom salts are formed from a pure mineral compound containing magnesium and sulfate. There are more than 325 enzymes in the body that require magnesium to function properly. Magnesium stimulates nerve and muscle function, limits inflammation, and improves oxygenation and blood flow through the body. Try an Epsom salt bath today. We suggest using approximately 1/2 cup of Epsom salts for every 50 pounds of weight. Enjoy!

Anyone else get the winter blues?

I always fall off the wagon in the winter, it’s more of a “under a blanket” season for me. Not a ton of motivation outside of work.

This leaves me feeling a pretty crappy body image, as most people who have lost weight or fluctuated over their lifetimes have body dysmorphia.

Today I had the day off and came downstairs without a plan, and ended up having a great workout - not planned, just went out and moved my body and enjoyed the movements I picked.

Happy weekend everyone! Here’s your reminder that any movement is an improvement, set attainable goals and enjoy your workouts. They shouldn’t feel like punishment.

Yesterday I had a really bad sleep, and still had some muscle soreness across my body. Then came down with a semi migraine.

Yesterday was a rest day, and that’s ok! Remember to listen to your body, moving it is a privilege - not a punishment.

Do you know how many people wish they had a healthy body and could move it? How privileged are we?

Today we got up at 5am, had coffee and jumped on the bike for a 40 min ride before I get ready for work.

Happy Thursday all!

Let’s talk about goals.

Yesterday I weighed myself for the first time since we moved into our new home. I was 135lbs when we met and after Christmas feasting I was sitting at 165.8lbs. .. I was not a healthy 135lbs I was stressed to the gills and coming out of a not great situation personally, which was very tough on me, and my body.

As someone who just lost 110lbs… seeing a 30lbs increase was very triggering and concerning. I NEVER want to see 170lbs again, that is a slippery slope for me. Personally. Not everyone’s body is the same - just be healthy.

So sitting in this disappointment I reset some goals, rest in my app and will continue tweaking my workouts.

Big goal? No. Attainable and sustainable, while I love being in excellent shape around 16%bf that is very low, and I want to enjoy my food and my life - and am not planning on competing.

New goal: 18%bf. I’m at 20%, so it’s attainable.
Weight doesn’t matter so much to me as long as I’m comfortable, but ideally I’d like to be 140-150lbs. Again, attainable.

Happy new years everyone! Good luck with your 2024, let’s make it the best one yet.

✌️🥳💪🌱

It’s been a busy week! I’ve been moving and organizing supplies and I’ve an event tomorrow so I’m not at my highest energy after doing prep all week. My planned workouts have slipped a bit - but life goes on. We adjust and start again.

I’m giving myself a rest night where I can just chill outttttt.

And have a snack.

Did some wicked interval training today.Didn’t train - this is me at work today 😂💪👏
