JUNE AT SAMATVA
Lightness + Liberation

By June, the breath begins to make room.

This month’s theme is an invitation to notice what we are carrying, where we may be gripping more than needed, and how practice can help us create space in the body, breath, and mind.

In yoga philosophy, we are exploring Vairagya (non-attachment), Moksha (liberation), and Pranayama (breath expansion). Not as faraway ideas, but as something we can feel in small moments - the widening of the ribs, the softening of the jaw, the shift from bracing into breathing.

Inside this month’s digest:

Outdoor Yoga is back
Our June Community Offering: 20 classes for $175
108 Salutations with Kelly for summer solstice
The June Strawberry Moon reflection
Postures to support Lightness + Liberation
Upcoming events, programs, and master classes
Reflection and journaling prompts for the month

June reminds us that practice does not have to be all-or-nothing to be meaningful.

You can move.
You can rest.
You can begin again.
You can let summer open you without pulling you away from yourself.

Today’s practice is an invitation to soften.

Join Mandy at 6:30 PM for Peace Yoga - a slower, grounding practice to settle the body and quiet the mind.

And this morning at 10 AM, join Jaime for Nervous System Rest - spacious, supported, and exactly what your system may be asking for.

Come as you are. Rest counts too.

BRENDINE + OUTDOOR YOGA

A little love for Brendine, who will be guiding our Outdoor Sunset Flow practices at Lake Ontario Park this summer.

SUSPENSION YOGA™
SLING + STRETCH

We’ve got THREE upcoming opportunities to explore Suspension Yoga with Jewel this June - and this time we’re opening up some daytime options too.

If you’ve been curious about Suspension Yoga but evening classes don’t always work for your schedule, this is your chance.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3
6:45 PM

TUESDAY, JUNE 9
6:00 AM - for the early risers
9:30 AM - for the daytime crew

These classes are designed to help you decompress the spine, build strength, improve mobility, and experience deep supported stretching through the sling. Whether you’re brand new or already love the practice, this is such a fun way to move differently and explore inversions, traction, and floating relaxation in a supportive environment.

Normally these classes are only offered in the evenings, so we’re excited to test out some daytime rounds. If these fill well, we’d love to keep adding daytime Suspension Yoga classes randomly throughout the year.

These fill FAST. Between all 3 classes there is only room for 36 people total and registration is already open.

FREE for Infinity Members
$25 Registration

GET OUTSIDE.

This is Jaime practicing in Alberta (throwback) and honestly… it felt really good to step away from routine for a moment and move somewhere completely different. Different air, different perspective, different pace.

We spend so much time indoors, on screens, rushing from one thing to the next. Getting outside changes something. Even a short walk, a few deep breaths, or a quiet moment in nature can shift your entire nervous system.

Yoga doesn’t always have to happen perfectly in a studio. Sometimes it’s just about reconnecting to yourself wherever you are.

Where’s your favourite place to move or reset outside?

SIVANANDA YOGA
TONIGHT WITH JEWEL DENISON

There’s something deeply grounding about returning to simple, traditional practices….. the kind that invite steadiness instead of urgency.

Tonight’s master class explores the classical Sivananda sequence through breathwork, mindful movement, stability, and deep relaxation. A practice designed to help regulate the nervous system while reconnecting to focus, vitality, and calm.

Perfect for anyone wanting to slow down a little, breathe more intentionally, and experience yoga beyond just the physical shapes.

A reminder that yoga doesn’t always need to be intense to be effective.

Sometimes the practice is simply unclenching the jaw, softening the shoulders, and giving the nervous system a moment to catch up.

Small movements matter. Slow practices matter. Rest matters too.
