Discomfort, annoyance, trials and tribulation, misalignment, pain.
There is so much in the world to complain about, and it's ok to take the time you need to feel whatever you are feeling about it. It is important though, to recognize the difference between thought energy and emotional energy. Thoughts can be emotional, but they are not necessarily emotions. Emotions are constantly moving, they are not fixed unless something keeps them stuck, like a thought that gets repeated.
This came out of me today when commenting on someone else's post, where they were complaining about the victim mindset of immigrants from a limited perspective.
"There's a greater theme at play which is valuable to witness, and take a deeper look at personally. Whatever you see in this world contains value for you, but your own perspective needs to be aligned to receive that value. So it's not usually about changing the world, it's about changing your perspective, because when you can find what is valuable in anything, the whole world itself changes and becomes worthwhile."
Whether or not they'll be able to receive it, is another thing, but this is a pattern I've witnessed throughout my life. When I was working in the hospitality industry, I noticed there were times where I would witness servers complaining about something that was a normal, reoccurring experience for them.
In hearing their complaint, I could see that if I kept that thought-energy, I'd be stuck in this form of bitterness so I'd wait. I didn't know what I was waiting for at first, but after some time, days, weeks, I don't know, I'd receive an insight that allowed my mind to stay flexible and move me past the state of "poor me, the world is broken, it will always be this way." In keeping my mind open and flexible, it kept the world open and flexible to show up how I needed to see it.
Each time, there was nothing to do but to choose to stay open to the possibility of insight about a difficult situation.
