A Fitness Story

You are never too old to start a fitness regime and experience the health benefits that movement provides for the body. To experience the most benefit, I believe we require both “hard” (western) and “soft” (eastern) workouts in order to address the body, mind and spirit - a holistic, unified approach. It is more important, especially as we age, to bring awareness into our workouts - awareness of what our body is telling us, feeling how we move and honouring our limitations (but not giving up!).

Here’s a look at some of the gentler forms of fitness movement I offer. Combine any of these classes with one of the several types of fun, yet challenging “boot camps” I’ve developed or with my personal training sessions, and you will have a well-rounded fitness routine that will help you feel strong, balanced and connected.

The Nia Technique is the oldest and most advanced body-friendly form of fusion fitness, combining the best elements of martial, healing & dance arts. ChiBall Flow combines several western and eastern modalities using a small ball as a tool, to give you a gentle, yet effective workout that is excellent for your joints, core building, balance and mobility. Meditation and relaxation techniques help you connect to the present while calming the mind and body. Dance Party incorporates simple dance steps with international rhythms and classic dances and encourages you to move them your own way. For those with physical injuries or cognitive issues, Ageless Grace uses the science of neuro-plasticity to keep the mind, body and spirit young.
