I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at Brock University in 2007. After university I decided to pursue a career in the corporate world of insurance and spent about 8 years on & off working as a commercial underwriter and managed a family owned insurance brokerage. I also decided in 2010 to take a break from the corporate world of insurance & travel abroad and teach kindergarten in South Korea fo
r one year. After a series of very difficult life events I found myself in a place where self care & study of mental health & nutrition became a forefront in my life. With this wellness journey that unfolded I found myself drawn to birth work, nurturing and supporting families. I believe birth is a beautiful and sacred experience that parents should feel empowered and wonderful through the journey. I began my Doula training in 2014, and have supported handfuls of families over the years with birth & postpartum support. I am very passionate and nurturing always pursuing continued education. I have extensive knowledge with pregnancy & nutrition, fitness & pelvic muscle care in pregnancy & birth, I am a placenta specialist, I have a love for aromatherapy & essential oils, I am a baby wearing enthusiast, I promote self care tools & natural ways to better care for ones self in pregnancy. I look forward to hearing from you!
