Pour notre cours de portrait en studio, il fallait s'inspirer d'un photographe de notre choix et créer un portrait à sa manière. En fouillant dans la bibliothèque du département photo, je suis tombé sur un livre de et en voici le résultat.

C'est un rêve rendu réalité for me as a Haitian born twice removed from their land and culture (né. e au Québec et dans une religion qui diabolise la spiritualité Haïtienne). Me redécouvrir, renaître dans l'essence de ce que j'aurais toujours dû être.

L'année dernière RAM a mis un baume sur le deuil de mon père et cet été, Boukan Ginen à raviver mon amour et mon espoir pour moi-même et pour Haïti.

Very happy with myself for this touch-up job I did on my maternal grandparents' picture.

À croire que ça fait des années que je souhaite réapprendre Photoshop dans le but précis de retoucher cette photo. Alors c'est une coche de plus sur ma bucket list.

Peace and restoration. Freedom and healing.

If you've been tuned in to the state of the world in the slightest, you'll know that things are happening that are a desecration of humanity. From Sudan, Congo, Palestine, to my homeland Haiti, we are hearing and seeing horrors in real time.

I love nature and I love to see it thrive. May the hills of Palestine return to their rightful owners and may Olive trees and oranges trees and strawberries, plus all the is good, alive and indigenous find its freedom one again. This was the inspo for this shoot at school.

a long week of reviewing, exams and health issues. sometimes that voice in the back of my head tries to tell me that I can't, or I'll d*e before I get to accomplish my goals and therefore it's all in vain.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But then, I try to remember all the reasons I can't give up or give in to my dark thoughts.
