We are always adding more to our cute lil calendars.
More ideas.
More projects.
More “I should probably.”
Because obviously we are capable women with big brains and hopefully good WiFi.
And then life gently… or not so gently… forces our hand.
We’re tired.
We’re behind.
We’re side-eyeing the very thing we once swore we wanted. Dreamed about for so many days.
So we cross it off the list,
but it feels like defeat.
Like something got taken from us.
What shifted for me recently was this:
What if I didn’t put it on the list? The full project. Maybe it’s just pieces of the project.
Not because I failed.
Not because I can’t handle it.
But because I’m choosing not to carry it right now.
That lands completely different in my body.
When something gets ripped away by burnout,
I feel small.
When I remove it on purpose,
I feel a little rebellious, sneaky, freaky.
Same action.
Different energy.
It’s not about doing less.
It’s about deciding sooner.
Freedom isn’t found in productivity.
It’s found in ownership.
And I’m learning I don’t actually want a full plate.
I want a chosen one.🫶
