I was an entrepreneur on a Doomsday mission…
7 days of prepping my small biz products to stave off burnout.
I used to do everything the day an order came in.
Brand. Sew. Burn. Sand. Clean.
By the time I printed the shipping label, I was already tired.
And then I’d do it again. 🤯
Over time, I started to build resentment toward products I’m actually proud to sell.
Gulp…That part is hard to admit. I mean these products are our lil baby creations right!?!
So I took the week between Christmas and New Years to fully prep my products.
And thank the good Lord - something shifted.
I started to feel lighter.
More playful.
I noticed how much easier creativity shows up when I’m not rushing myself.
I mean, now I’m saying “duh,” but when we’re in the weeds, it’s hard to see the blazing sun.
You’re nodding your head right now, huh?👀
So I’ve settled into this question:
Can I take off the last week of each quarter and prepare my products ahead of time?
Can product sales feel less chaotic and, gosh dare I say… organized?
I’ve claimed “chaotic” my whole life.
Is another identity actually possible?
Ooooh. Yep, yep that’s scary.
Yes, I’ll lose money that week.
But… what might I gain?
I’m rubbing my hands together right now, fully in dream mode.
Let’s f’n goooo!!!
So I’m wondering for you…
What allows you to stay in creative flow? Any other fellow preppers out there?
Pssst-when you share we all win because you have great ideas too!
