⚠️ Warning: Unpopular opinion below 😅
👩🏫 After 20+ years of practicing as an integrative animal practitioner, I have learned some truths that might be hard to hear but they are necessary to share.
So let’s be honest and consider the following to help you navigate better:
1️⃣ Impatience will not serve you in the healing process. There is no such thing as overnight healing. The most authentic healing is slow & steady. If you’re not ready for some ups & downs in the process, you will be disappointed with natural approaches. Educate yourself & be prepared to roll with the ebbs and flows of the illness. Demanding a specific outcome will leave you disappointed and frustrated.
2️⃣ Be prepared to be honest about what needs to change. If you’re not willing to let go of the way you’ve been doing things, you will create more stress for yourself & your animal. Be open to changing your routine for the betterment of your animal. Trust your practitioner.
3️⃣ If you are feeling chronic stress in your life, it can deeply affect your animal’s health. Be self-aware to address your own stress & it will exponentially improve the outcome for your animals too.
4️⃣ Fear and anxiety deeply affect our decision-making abilities. If you make decisions out of fear, you risk harming your animal unintentionally. If you’re not sure what decisions to make, ask for help. Having a sick animal is stressful & it’s important to have a non-biased professional perspective when you are under stress.
5️⃣ There is no such thing as a miracle one-size-fits-all approach if you want to make meaningful progress. You may even find that you require a team of like-minded individuals who each specialize in their own areas to create a health plan for your animal. When you’re searching for hope, it can be easy to get mislead. Make sure you keep your intuition & discernment skills active when choosing healing options for your animals. It can save you a lot of stress - & money!
✨ Happy weekend, everyone! ✨
