Since 1994, I have helped couples & individuals create solutions to improve their mental, physical, & emotional wellness through counselling, meditation, & mindfulness. For 25 years, Charlaine Avery has helped couples and individuals create solutions to improve their mental, physical, and emotional wellness through counselling, meditation, and mindfulness. She has worked with individuals, couples,
and families to help them understand relationship issues like communication problems, conflict, grief, affairs, transitions, parenting, and step-parenting. Hundreds of adults, youth and children have been helped by her practical, kind, and caring approach. Charlaine helps people express difficult emotions, identify what they need, and learn practical strategies for dealing with challenges. Her practice is based on the most up-to-date information, best practices, and emerging advances in the field of counselling. She is the first counsellor in British Columbia who is certified in Discernment Counselling, an intensive process that helps couples decide whether they should end their relationship, or not. Charlaine received her Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 1994 and is a BC Association of Clinical Counsellors Registered Clinical Counsellor. She has worked as a manager, clinical director, and quality assurance consultant for other counselling services. When not counselling, Charlaine is an avid gardener, photographer (trained in Miksang photography) and traveller.
