Non-drug pinworm treatment will not be able to treat the infection alone, as drug therapy will be needed to eradicate the infection. However, the non-drug strategies are very important to prevent re-infection.

There are some tests that can be performed to determine if a pinworm infection is present. Some you can try at home, however, help from a healthcare professional (physician, nurse practitioner) may be required if you're not able to perform the at-home tests.
