Lately, it feels like every time we open our phones, there’s another heartbreaking headline.

Another child. Another family forever changed.

For many parents—especially new moms—these stories don’t just come and go. They land hard. They linger. They trigger a fear that already lives just under the surface:
What if something happens to my baby? What if I miss something? What if I can’t keep them safe?

This is health and death anxiety. And it’s more common in motherhood than most people realize.

But whhhyyy?!” 🙃 but what if, but I'll be fast, but 5 more minutesssss

If you’re a parent of a strong-willed child, you know exactly what I’m talking about—the relentless “why” questions after you set a boundary.

👉🏼Here’s the thing: when your child keeps asking “why,” they’re not really asking for another explanation. What they’re really asking is: “Can I get you to change your mind?”

And the more we keep re-explaining ourselves, the more they think, “Maybe I can.”
Cue the endless “why hamster wheel,” the mounting frustration, and the inevitable blow-up.

So how do you break the cycle?

✨ Acknowledge their feelings: “I know you wish I’d said yes.”
✨ Hold the boundary calmly (no need to pile on 10 more reasons).
✨ Be consistent: the answer is the answer.

👉🏼It’s not easy, but with steady practice, your child will stop testing every boundary and start to trust that you mean what you say.

➡️ If this hit home, follow and for more parenting strategies and tools that actually work (no guilt, no fluff).

Hurry up! Find your shoes! We’re late!

If that’s how your mornings sound, you’re in good company 😅😵‍💫

✨️But here’s the thing: the first 10 minutes of your child’s day set the tone for the next 8 hours.

🧡And connection doesn’t have to take a ton of time—it can be as simple as asking intentional questions.

👉🏼In this post, we are sharing 5 questions you can ask your child in the morning to help them feel seen, grounded, and confident before they walk out the door.

Because even if you’re rushing, you can still start the day with connection.

🔖 Save this for tomorrow morning.

Why does my kid lose it over the smallest thing?!?

👉🏼Because their brain is still learning how to process all the feels.

😵‍💫When kids don’t understand why they’re upset, emotions feel even scarier—and they can spin out fast.

👉🏼Teaching your child how their brain works gives them language for what’s happening inside. It helps them pause before they explode, and it reminds them that they’re not “bad”—just overwhelmed.

In the carousel, I’m breaking down exactly how to explain it (without turning it into a boring lecture)
