Give out cards to the people who are important to you. Include personal words, and a favorite verse to make the activity more meaningful.

You might also consider writing to a missionary
Many missionaries are unable to travel home for the holidays, so Christmas can be a very lonely time for them. Write a special letter to a missionary of your choice and thank them for giving their life in service to the Lord. Trust me—it will mean more than you can imagine.

I've been thinking about this a lot. This last month before Christmas I will send out 10 practical tips on how to keep Christ in Christmas. This will be a reminder for myself as well. Christmas is a lonely time. I am relieved that there are things that I can do to make myself less lonely.

Tip 1.
Give God one special Gift from you to Him.
Some ideas might include:
--forgive someone who you need to forgive
--set time extra time aside to spend quality time with God
--serve someone less fortunate
David said in 2 Samuel 24 that he would not offer a sacrifice to God that cost him nothing

Gifts of Service
It is more blessed to give than to receive Acts 20:35
Make a plan to give a gift of service to a person that is close to you.
Ideas include such things as doing a chore for someone else like running an errand, cleaning a closet, doing the dishes, shoveling snow. Look for ways to bless those who are part of your family.

It takes Self Control to make sure that a consistent sleep pattern is a reality in my life. Truth is when I get enough sleep, then I am happier, more productive, less anxious and less in my head.

This is a hard one for me. I always think that I can fit more into my schedule than is really possible. I push myself to try to keep everyone happy. I hope that I am learning from the experience.
For me I hate feeling conflicted and not speaking up or having clarity before I agree to help someone, or take on a contract gets in the way of all the other parts of my life.
I find that when there is a lot of uncertainty or confusion in my own thinking about the expectations of the people around me it causes me to fall back into anxiety. I also find that I don't sleep well, and my productivity suffers. I guess I just want to say that it's important to speak up, and its my responsibility to know what the people around me to expect, but also what I have the time, ability, and desire to fit into my life.

This is an area that I have been working on in my own life. This last year has been very difficult. Starting a business, and also chasing after some dreams that I have wanted to be part of has been harder than I ever imagined or planned for. I'm glad I don't have to go it alone. God is bigger than any challenge that will happen this week, and He gives me the ability to see the good in every day. I do admit I have times of fear, and sometimes feel like I'm not progressing at the rate I feel I should be. I'm still thankful that I can choose how I will think about tomorrow. I can use my thoughts to build a future that I look forward to, or I can use them to build a future that I don't want to be part of. It's my choice how I use my words, my thoughts, my eyes, my hands, and my feet. I have a favorite saying that I heard a long time ago. "Make choices today that you won't regret tomorrow." Unknown

Growth is always my goal. I for one don't like all my days to be the same. I would love to experience growth at a consistent rate in all areas of my life. I am challenged in some areas more than others. I don't want to be static in any way, or in any area. Growth is important in my Spiritual walk, in relationships, in my business, and in my habits. I think consistently on how I can make my life more consistent. Change is what makes growth possible.

I have struggled at times with feeling like I am not significant. Being assertive is an ongoing goal for me. Some days I am more successful than others. I have to remember that I have gifts and abilities that are needed by my customers. I want to always be understood and to understand. Speaking up and being willing to consult on the businesses I serve helps not only my client but also helps me to learn new skills or improve on what I can offer. But I have to be able to clearly understand what my role is going forward. I have probably grown in this area in the last few years the most. I can sometimes be withdrawn and in my head but I am learning that people don't know what they don't know. They can't read my mind.

I have had an office at times, other times I have had a kitchen chair at the kitchen table. Lately my Laptop has been dedicated to work only. I feel like my brain will focus when I know its time to work when I decide that when I am at my laptop its time to focus. Sometimes, I think that as a remote worker that I need to decide before I sit down that I am going to focus. It's doing what needs to be done even when I have the choice to do it another time. I also need to remember that as a contractor I still have customers that are counting on me to show up and do my best everyday.
