WELL NOW Fitness

WELL NOW Fitness Well Now Fitness helps women establish sustainable healthy habits in small attainable steps. It is our mission to help people live in freedom! NOW!

Well Now Fitness was established because it cares about your health and well-being and desires to help you live a sustainable healthy lifestyle. It is dedicated to educating and inspiring people to transform their lives, day by day, through a holistic approach that engages the "WHOLE" person: body, mind, soul, and spirit. We are not about comparison or competition but COMPLETENESS. MOTTO: Transforming your life, day by day, moment by moment. It is our belief that when you make small, everyday lifestyle changes you can improve your overall well-being. Living well is a life-long process and we "become" well each day when we embrace those small, feasible changes that move us in the right direction towards wholeness and health. "Become" is a present tense verb and means "to begin to be" or "grow to be". This is an ever-present journey. We are always becoming! The time is NOW to start becoming your best version of you!! It is never too late to begin making changes in your life. Well Now Fitness operates on four foundational pillars of wellness. These include physical fitness, mental fitness, social fitness, and spiritual fitness. The World Health Organization defines health as a "state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." Good health is key to our living well and goes beyond our physical appearance. Improving one's wellness means reducing risk of disease while considering the many factors that affect the WHOLE person.

1. Physical Fitness
Regular physical activity is proven to help prevent and manage non-communicable diseases such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and several cancers. It also helps prevent hypertension, maintain healthy body weight and can improve mental health, quality of life and well-being. (World Health Organization)

However, your body needs more than movement alone. Nutrition, hydration, sleep, and rest are all necessary components of physical fitness.

2. Mental Fitness
Mental health is just as important as physical health, and it should not be neglected. This involves keeping your brain and emotional health in tip top shape. It will mean identifying, assessing and navigating through feelings that cause undue stress and anxiety. Interestingly, the more you move the body the more you help the mind. Physical activity increases the flow of oxygen to the brain. It also increases the amount of endorphins, the “feel good” chemical, in your brain. Studies have shown that engaging in vigorous physical workouts can help battle depression and promotes a more positive outlook on life. It aids in the management of stress which can cause physical and mental harm. Mental fitness also address our intellect. We are intellectual beings created with the capacity to learn and share knowledge. The more you challenge your brain the healthier it becomes! Learning is a life-long process and should continually be nourished by trying new things!

3. Social Fitness
We are social beings. We were made for relationship. Well Now Fitness values people and we are all about developing social networks. Social relationships create support systems that carry you through life’s struggles. We acknowledge that people thrive best when they are inter-dependent on each other rather being independent from each other. We are founded on the principle that we are all in this together. Everyone belongs here!! We do not compare or compete with others but cheer each other on in our journey to joy, freedom, and completeness!

4. Spiritual Fitness
We are also spiritual beings. Our physical bodies are evident, we can see and touch them. However, our souls and spirits are less distinguishable but non the less real to each one of us. The soul refers to our mind, will and desires as seen in our personal preferences, choices, and emotional responses to life's situations. Our soul is reflected in our personality. The spirit refers to that part of us that connects and communicates with God. Our spirit differs from our soul because our spirit is always pointed toward and exists exclusively for God, whereas our soul can be self-centered. The joy, comfort and peace of God's presence can only be experienced through our spirit. To deny the spirit is to live with less wholeness in your life. At Well Now Fitness spirituality is rooted in faith of God the Father, His Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. We operate on the premise that God has placed in each of us an innate desire to know Him. If we neglect this part of our being we will sense there is something missing in our lives and miss out on the wholeness that He longs to provide. Since He created us, He knows us best and knows what is good for us in every area of life, including health and wellness. In fact, as we integrate all parts of our lives to Him, we become complete and whole, healed and free! Then, we are able to live out His divine purposes with great joy. He has designed us each one uniquely and equips us to do whatever He calls us to do!! He brings true purpose and meaning to our lives.

January often comes with a lot of pressure —
to set goals, make changes, and “get it right” this time.

But this year, we’re taking a different approach.

Instead of rushing into resolutions, our January focus is Plan Well —
learning how to create simple, sustainable wellness rhythms that support real life.

Planning well isn’t about doing more.

It’s about creating clarity, alignment, and space so healthy habits can actually take root.

Inside the Well Now Fitness Membership, Plan Well means:

approaching wellness with intention, not overwhelm

building consistent movement alongside supportive wellness practices

reflecting before reacting

creating rhythms that fit your season, energy, and responsibilities

being supported by community instead of trying to do it all alone

This membership brings fitness and wellness together — because strength, health, and well-being grow best when they’re connected.

If you’ve ever felt stuck starting over every January,
or tired of plans that don’t last, this month is an invitation to try a gentler, more grounded way forward.

🌿 Plan well. Move consistently. Live well — one step at a time.

What are you hungry for… really?

Not just food.
But relief.
Peace.
Joy.
Freedom from guilt.

In November, we explored this question together in What Are You Hungry For? – Part One.

On January 10, we’re continuing the conversation.

✨ Part Two is about releasing what weighs us down around food—and rediscovering joy again.

Not rules.
Not restriction.
Not shame.

This is a gentle, faith-rooted workshop for women who:

Feel tired of battling food

Want to understand what their hunger is really pointing to

Long to enjoy meals again—without guilt

As we step into a new season, I wanted to gently share what’s ahead at Well Now Fitness.

Our Strength for Life classes are starting again the week of January 6, and we’re moving forward with a Wellness + Fitness Monthly Membership designed to support strength, consistency, and whole-person wellness—at a steady, sustainable pace.

This is a welcoming space for:
• Moving your body with purpose
• Building strength that supports everyday life
• Being part of a supportive, encouraging community

If you’ve been following along quietly, wondering if this might be the right time to start—or start again—January is a beautiful place to begin.

A peak into my virtual class this morning. The ball is such a great tool and really helps target specific muscle groups effectively.

What's your favorite stability ball exercise?

A Season of Generosity at Well Now Fitness

As we’ve moved through November’s Spend Well theme, one message keeps rising to the surface for me:

Generosity isn’t just something we give.
It’s something that helps us live well.

When we share—whether it’s a few minutes of our time, a word of encouragement, a small donation, or a simple act of kindness—we strengthen not only our communities, but also our own sense of purpose, connection, and wellbeing.

This year, I’d love to invite our Well Now community into a small, joy-filled tradition of giving back.
No pressure. No expectations.
Just an open invitation to practice generosity together in whatever way fits your season.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be highlighting two causes close to my heart:

❤️ Heart & Stroke 1,500 Squat Challenge
A fun way to move our bodies and support important research + heart health for women.

🥫 Community Food Sharing Association
Where every $10 donated becomes $205 of food distributed across Newfoundland & Labrador — including our local community.

You can choose to participate, cheer someone on, donate if you feel led, or simply follow along for inspiration.
And of course, generosity can also look like helping a neighbor, calling a friend, volunteering, or offering a prayer.

However you join in, I’m grateful you’re here.
Let’s create a small ripple of goodness together this season.
