"This is not how I thought it would turn out."

Look closely at this 3D work by Sea Carved Studio.

On the outside, we see the little girl we used to be—brought to life with real hair and fabric. She is vibrant, untouched, and real. But she is looking into a mirror that tells a different story.

The reflection is shattered. It represents the adult reality, the life lived, and the unexpected cracks that time and pain can leave behind. It’s that haunting moment of realization: The person in the mirror isn't who the little girl thought she would become.

We invite you to join us at the Astor Theatre this May to explore these reflections together. We are so grateful for the support of our local community and the South Queens Chamber of Commerce in helping us share this journey.

Have you ever looked back at your younger self and wondered where the time went? We’re building a space to talk about those pieces of ourselves—the whole ones and the shattered ones.

SOMETHING IS SHATTERING THE SILENCE. ⚓️🎨

Did you know that 1 in 5 of our neighbors in Queens County lives with persistent, chronic pain? And affects one in three family members and support staff. That’s nearly half of all rural households.

For too long, this struggle has been invisible. But that changes on May 8th.

The South Shore Chronic Pain Support Community (SSCPSC) is proud to announce a month-long residency and exhibition: "The Art of Resilience."

🗓 WHEN: Friday, May 8th @ 7:30 PM (Gala Opening)
📍 WHERE: The Astor Theatre, Liverpool
🎟 ADMISSION: Free (Open to the public)

Supported by Mayor Scott Christian, MLA Kim Masland, and MP Jessica Fancy-Landry, this is more than an art show—it is a stand for our community’s health and heart.

HELP US REACH OUR NEIGHBORS: Please Like and Share this post. You never know who in your circle needs to hear they aren’t alone.

Hi Everyone
A dear friend just sent this to me.

Chronic Pain
It's like the aches & exhaustion you get from a flu.
Like how you feel after an intense workout .
Having flares that make me feel like you have been hit by a car.
Yet Chronic Pain is usually invisible
This mean that many people don't understand how someone can feel like this all the time

Please pass it on.

Sincerely
Janice MacMillan- President
