Spent the afternoon as a guest speaker with Food processing grad students. We focused almost entirely on scaling…
the part driven by manufacturing, not the fun in the lab.
The part I don’t usually get to dive into in other workshops…because it can induce the zzZzzZzs
But it’s also the part we quietly have to become experts in as product developers.
The equipment doesn’t care how inspired you were at the bench. It cares whether it can run.
Hopefully the message landed: There’s nothing quite like seeing something you’ve worked on for months (or years) finally being made and packaged by the thousands.

Six weeks flew by. 💚

Hannah’s internship with True Leaves Consulting is wrapping up, and we asked her to reflect on the experience. Her insights are too good not to share.

On skills she’s strengthened:
“Attention to detail and attentiveness, because of the scientific nature of what’s done here. I’ve been able to apply skills I developed through my research to real life and products people are actually going to use.”
She also learned to think about the full picture: cost of materials, availability, safety, and every person involved in the process. “The sheer detail that goes into all these food products, I’ll definitely take that forward with me.”
Hannah, thank you for bringing your curiosity, your thoughtfulness, and your energy to True Leaves Consulting. It’s been a joy watching you grow over these six weeks, and we can’t wait to see where your career takes you. You’re going to do amazing things. 🌱

Looking back on 2025, one of the best decisions we made this past year was bringing Beste Guney onto the True Leaves team 💚

Beste joined us part-time as our design/marketing/project management powerhouse, and she has been an incredible addition.
She advocates for True Leaves at every event she attends, speaks about our work with such pride, and truly feels like an extension of our brand, not just someone “helping out.” That kind of ownership and care is rare, and it means a lot.
Beyond the work, Beste has brought so much culture & perspective into our team.
We try to feed her as much as possible (a True Leaves love language), and in return we’ve learned so much about her and Turkish culture and food which has been such a joy.
Small teams, big hearts. Feeling really grateful for the people who believe in what we’re building and show up with enthusiasm.
Thank you, Beste! We’re lucky to have you.
