Happy Sunday Everyone.

FYI I don't keep certain hours. Other than the need for sleep, I work 24/7. I have people in my care who have "windows" when they're at their best, and that might be between 2 and 3am. I'll always do my best to make things work.

Being an introvert who is horrible with technology, I don't always promote my business on the local groups for , but I finally got Instagram! I don't know how to use it, or what the hashtag thing is even for, but I'm still going to call it progress LOL! Here's my Sunday post:

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jen, and I'm a mobile foot care nurse in Maple Ridge and surrounding areas. I started this journey in January 2018, and since then, I have been fortunate enough to have helped people who:

-Can't reach their feet
-CAN reach their feet, but know better
-Are seniors
-Are diabetics
-Experience foot pain
-Experience spasticity
-Experience involuntary movements
-Have cognitive impairments
-Have a mental health diagnosis that limits self care ability
-Have been in hospital for many months, but it was just now that they looked at their feet...

I don't work set days or hours, as I do have clients who need their 9-5 M-F family member present. I also have clients who are the 9-5 M-F people themselves. There's also those who are 'at their best' during that specific window of time each day, amongst the many other circumstances that arise where time matters. I will also spend the time needed, as I try my best to be accommodating of all.

Started in 2010, the event uses empty red dresses to symbolize the lost lives of Indigenous women who have been victims of violence. I'm a member of the Lower Mainland Foot Care Nurses Association, and we do an education evening once a month. The discussion after the session tonight was ingrown nails. Patients are apparently calling everywhere desperately trying to get treatment, but are not having any success getting a prompt appointment. If this is you, please call me. I will make time for you, even if it's at 2am. Having an ingrown nail sucks, and it sucks even more if you have to wait a week to get it dealt with.
