I kept trying to come up with a catchy tagline for Khala Naturals but all I could think of was, All Natural Matters. So, it might not be a jingle you hear on the radio or an ad during the Super Bowl, but it says exactly what I want it to say. I make all natural products with all-natural ingredients because I truly believe all natural matters. Heck, I even grow (and my parents grow) herbs and botanicals to put into my soaps, shampoos, and more. It is important for me to know from where my ingredients are sourced. It is important to me to use ingredients that are not processed or created in a lab. That is why you will never see a neon pink soap or one that smells like strawberries. I cannot create that without using synthetic ingredients so I choose not to make them.
Take a look at your “regular” bar or bottle of soap. I bet you cannot identify half of the ingredients. That is because it is not soap. It is a detergent. It is full of chemicals that actually strip your skin of its natural oils leaving it open to dryness and cracks. It suds up the way it does because of the chemicals used to simulate real soap. That is also why your bottle or bar calls itself a “beauty bar” or “liquid cleanser”. Legally, just like true Champagne can only be labelled as such if it comes from Champagne, France, soap can only be called soap if it is actually soap. Also...fragrance? Try a mixed bag of toxic chemicals designed to smell nice and linger on your skin a long time. The word “fragrance” also covers a myriad of ingredients that the manufacturer does not have to label. Some fragrances can contain over 2000 chemicals! Imagine what those chemicals are doing not only to your skin, but also your internal organs. Keep yourself and your family safe. Choose natural products with natural ingredients.
Khala Naturals is just that; natural.
I do use fruit/seed butters and oils like coconut, avocado, sweet almond, castor, cocoa, olive and more. I use natural kaolin clays for colour and their mineralizing properties. I use activated charcoal to exfoliate and remove impurities from the skin. I use essential oils in proper ratios to ensure you get the therapeutic benefits firstly and the great aroma they create secondly.
