So after all the holidays and vacations are over, what’s the first sentence you say to yourself?!

“Starting tomorrow I’m on a diet”… sounds familiar?!

I said almost the same sentence once the holiday was over:

“Starting tomorrow… I’m going to my regular eating “!!!

2 sentences starting with same words but such a different meaning😜

Lifestyle is not a punishment, it is not a diet, it is a choice!! And this is how I choose to live my life😍

What did you change in your life and made it a habit???

Things I learned this past year as a person and as a coach…

1. People will always talk, so just continue doing you and whatever makes you happy

2. Family is all you need. They will always be by your side ❤️

3. My journey never ends. All I need are new goals to make me grow…

4. As much as I love helping my clients change, I can’t make the change for them. If they want the change they actually need to work it!!

5. As a coach I never give up. If I reach a point that something doesn’t work for my client I will find another solution 👊🏻 I don’t give up easily.

6. In order to be successful in any journey in life you have to make sure you only look at your own story! Consistency and discipline brought me a far way, and the change will happen when it does and I will continue no matter what 🙌🏻

What did you learn this year??? Let’s reflect and share😍

How to change your habits and make them last a lifetime, you ask?! Here are few tips:

1. Drop the “all or nothing” mindset. Not everyone is capable to change all their habits at once! Start by changing one habit at a time.

2. You aren’t eating enough vegetables? Start by adding more to breakfast, lunch or dinner. Slowly add more to another meal till you eat vegetables in each meal.

3. Eating refined carbs and sugar, but want to start eating more whole grains?!
Start by adding a good carb each time. Maybe change your bread at first, then next week try a new lentil pasta? Or how about try whole grain rice?

4. Do you feel sleep deprived?! How about trying to bed each day 15 mins earlier than yesterday? It’s hard to change your sleeping hours especially if you are using electronics close to bed time.

5. You want to start exercising but not sure how or where to start? How about walking for 20 mins 3 times a week for a start? How about putting on an exercise video(YouTube has tons) and adding some weights for 20 mins? Even Dancing is great as long as you move. Start slow and add more days if you’d like💪🏻

6. Water. Water, water 💦 I can’t say it enough!! So important to stay hydrated because many of us mistakenly confuse hunger with hydration! Add a cup of water to each meal, before you eat, and another cup after you eat. Always keep a bottle near you so you can sip throughout the day 🙌🏻

We all need goals to help us stay motivated. But remember to set realistic goals and realistic expectations on how to get there!

Take one small step at a time towards your goal, and remember if you think you failed it means you tried! People who fail are the ones who never tried💪🏻

Keep on going you’ve got this🙌🏻👊🏻🏆

In few days some of us are going to fast for 25 hrs for Yom Kippur. A fast is something I don’t recommend to do to anyone who’s trying to lose weight, but when it comes to a religious holiday it’s a different story.

So here are few tips on how to enter a fast and how to end a fast:

1. Starting today cut out all alcohol intake and cut down on caffeinated beverages. Instead start drinking more water, at least 2L a day!

2. Start eating more complex carbs in each meal. Some great options are: brown rice, sweet potatoes, whole grain pasta, and buckwheat! The complex carbs will help us feel fuller for longer, and cut down on this bloated feeling.

3. Don’t consume any refined sugar and salt, like chocolate, candies, or salty chips. Instead have more fruits and vegetables.

4. When entering a fast your meal shouldn’t have too much salt. In your plate include a protein like chicken, vegetables like a salad, and a complex carb like brown rice. You don’t need to over eat in order not to be hungry tomorrow. You should still listen to your body.

5. When breaking your fast start by sipping some water and have a herbal tea, or some hot water with mint leaves. Don’t eat a heavy meal, instead enjoy a soup that includes lots of green vegetables and some chicken to bring back all the nutrients list in the day of fasting.

Hope everyone who is fasting will have a meaningful and easy fast 🤗
