It's not a fancy program.
It's dinner. Together. At the table. ๐ฝ๏ธ
I'll be honest - our house isn't picture-perfect.
Between hockey, dance, vocals, and 6-hour drives to visit family, life gets busy.
There were days I felt disconnected, exhausted, and yes... yelling more than I wanted.
But when we started making shared meals a priority - even just 4 or 5 a week - something changed.
Less bickering.
More laughter.
And conversations that surprised me with their depth and honesty.
Research shows kids who eat regular family meals are 27% less likely to struggle with anxiety, depression, or emotional distress.
Not because of the food - but because of the connection. ๐ฌโค๏ธ
You don't need gourmet meals or hours of prep.
You need 20 screen-free minutes, a shared table, and a few open-ended questions.
Try this tonight:
"What was the best and worst part of your day?"
Or
"If our family had a theme song, what would it be?"
Let meals be your secret weapon.
Connection starts at the table. โจ
