Microneedling & skin numbing
Before microneedling, the skin is numbed to reduce discomfort because the treatment uses tiny needles that create small channels in the skin.
Once the skin is numb:
The client feels pressure or vibration, not sharp pain
The practitioner can safely reach the correct depth
The treatment is more tolerable and effective
After the cream is removed, microneedling begins. As the numbing wears off, the skin may feel warm or tight, which is normal.
