We were pleased to welcome Kristina Tesser Derksen, MP for Milton East–Halton Hills South, to Stride’s head office in Milton on July 30, 2025, for a visit focused on the Canada Summer Jobs Program.

MP Tesser Derksen met with Natalie Borrelli, Employment Facilitator, and Ian DelZotti, Peer Employment Facilitator, to learn more about the impact of summer employment opportunities on youth facing mental health and/or addiction-related barriers.

Also joining the visit were Anita Lloyd, Executive Director, and Julie Henshaw, Manager of Specialized Employment Services.

The Canada Summer Jobs Program plays a key role in helping young people gain valuable work experience, build confidence, and develop the skills they need for long-term employment success - all within supportive, inclusive workplaces like Stride.
