Project Overview:
With unprecedented demand for timely specialist referrals, we are seeking patient-centric Physicians with excellent interpersonal skills and clinical knowledge to meet the needs of the growing population of individuals seeking a timely specialist consult.
We are hiring staff for a private medical center in Mississauga, ON
Project Duties:
- Providing screening and primary care health services for the clinic’s patients
- Providing clinical guidance and recommendations based on the patient’s history and physical examination
- Evaluating the patient’s health, making diagnoses on clinical conditions, prescribing, and administering medications and treatments, and following up care with internal/external specialists
- Educating, advising, and empowering patients on primary and secondary preventive health care
- Providing counseling and support to patients on a wide range of health & lifestyle issues
- Maintaining complete, timely, and legible medical records
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with all federal & provincial health information privacy laws
- Providing emergency care
- Vaccinating patients to prevent and treat diseases
- Performing patient advocacy role
- Additional duties may be assigned as per Company’s operational needs
Requirements to be Successful in This Project:
- Member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and holds a valid certificate of registration issued by the College (or the equivalent in another jurisdiction)
- Adequate MD training in the areas of family medicine, pediatrics, or internal medicine; any work experience is an asset
CCFP designation, CCFP (EM) designation, or FRCPC designation
Physicians who recently completed their residency will be considered
- Doctors with foreign experience & appropriate licensing will be considered
- An active OHIP billing number
- Has malpractice protection through a commercial insurance program or membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Ontario legislation applicable to healthcare and/or mental healthcare
- Experience in preventive care and wellness is an asset
- History of strong clinical performance
- Ability to speak other languages is an asset
- Ability to see patients independently and without supervision
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients, colleagues, outside healthcare facilities, agencies, and service providers
- Strong crisis management and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to assess issues to identify causes, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations in a calm and timely manner
- Timely involvement with the team (e.g. attending weekly team calls, etc.)
