You can’t fade hyperpigmentation on a damaged barrier. Let’s talk about why overexfoliation slows your progress — and what actually works.

I used to dream of having healthy, radiant skin.

Turns out, what I really needed was to understand what my skin was trying to tell me.

Skin isn’t separate from how we live. It’s connected to our stress, our hormones, our gut, our habits —and so many of those habits are passed down to us through generations.

I built Habits of Beauty to help people see their skin differently. Not as a flaw to fix. But as information. A signal. A starting point for real transformation.

My dream is bigger than facials.

I want to build a wellness center, both in person and online —where skin is finally treated with the depth it deserves. Where clients get partnerships with health professionals, nutritional guidance, and real answers.

I don’t just want you to look good.
I want you to feel good.
I need you to live well.

This is my dream. And I’m finally saying it out loud 🤎

Thank you for this life changing opportunity

Happy Love Day 🤎

Hydrojelly masks have become increasingly popular and are an integral part of most of our facial services at Habits of Beauty.

Our masks are alginate-based and infused with powerful ingredients– each offering its own unique set of benefits depending on your specific skincare needs. Alginate-based masks contain calcium ions that bind to water molecules within the mask making it highly absorbent; this helps draw out impurities while enhancing hydration levels within the skin cells so users can benefit from improved moisture retention over time.

What are Hydrojelly Masks good for?

✅hydrates the skin
✅reduces inflammation
✅soothes redness
✅acts as a pre-sealant
✅locks in moisture
✅protects skin from damage and irritants.
✅helps extend the life of any active ingredients applied during a service
✅act as a nourishing treatment for the skin.
✅cools and relaxes sensitive skin that has been deep-treated

Overall, using hydrojelly masks after a facial provides great benefits that you definitely deserve. Ready to try your own custom mask? Book a consultation today using the link in the bio or the profile booking link.

Redness during a facial isn’t always a reaction — most times it’s a response.

Notice how her skin starts with minimal erythema, then you see it appear during the treatment, calm under the mask, and resurface again during massage and serum application. That’s increased blood flow bringing oxygen and nutrients to the skin’s surface — the skin’s healing response activating.

The Clarity Facial is designed to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, and infuse targeted actives to address congestion, texture, and uneven tone. That temporary redness tells us circulation is stimulated, cell turnover is encouraged, and the skin is primed to properly absorb corrective serums.

This type of erythema typically fades within hours, leaving behind that healthy post-facial glow.

So if you notice redness during your treatment, don’t panic — your skin is doing exactly what it’s meant to do.

Whose skin doesn’t love moisture and hydration? Save this post if your skin get dry as it gets colder outside.

Humectant ingredients draw water into the skin, keeping it hydrated. Some examples are; Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, Vitamin B5, Urea and Aloe Vera

Emollient ingredients smooth and soften the skin by filling gaps between skin cells. Examples of emollients are; Squalane, Ceramides, and Fatty Acids (e.g., Linoleic Acid, Oleic)

Occlusives form a protective barrier on the skin to prevent water loss. Examples of these are; Petrolatum, Beeswax, Cocoa Butter, and Shea Butter which has a dual function as emollient and occlusive.

These are just a few examples of each category however, focusing on the products in your routine that contain some or all of these can really help your skin thrive until the warmer seasons return 🫶🏾
