Even if you are not a match, there are still countless others that are in need of a life saving donation. Whether it is blood, an organ, or just your time & clicks to share this page with others, it is greatly appreciated. My mother, Eileen, whom is loving, giving, and ever so patient (especially when it came to my upbringing) has been diagnosed with a Poly-cystic Liver and Kidneys. This means that there are cysts in her liver and kidneys, however the most pressing issue is the sheer volume and size of the cysts in her liver. They have overwhelmed my tiny little mother, and enlarged her liver to the point where she cannot be standing for prolonged periods of time without severe pain. Eventually her liver will shutdown, if it does not grow to the point of pressing on her heart. It currently is so big it pushes on her lungs, which will lead to scarring and decreased lung capacity & difficulty breathing. She is on the Waiting List for Liver Transplant, however her only viable option right now is to find a Living Donor. As there are many in dire need of immediate transplantation that does not put her very high on the list. Please, please, please consider becoming a living donor, even if you are not a match for my mom, there are many others in need of this life saving gift!
