Welcome to my new little office space! ✨🤍

I’m so excited to share this space with my clients. 😊

My career has taken me down many different paths, but this chapter is my favourite by far. I’m continually inspired and encouraged by every person I get to connect with and walk alongside.

My hope is that this space becomes so much more than just an office - that it’s a peaceful place for truth, growth, and healing for everyone who walks through these doors.

Also, meet the office mascot, Freddy 🐸

Come visit meeee!

Inner child work is really about getting to know yourself better.

It’s about reconnecting with parts of you that were shaped by early experiences—and learning how to support yourself in ways you might have needed back then.

It’s reminding your younger self:
✨ You’re safe now.
✨ Your feelings make sense.
✨ You’re trying—and that matters.

As you start to show up for yourself in small, consistent ways, old habits that once protected you begin to shift. You’re no longer reacting from fear, but responding with more understanding and confidence.

Our entire lives are often DRIVEN by avoidance of pain and discomfort. We tirelessly arrange ourselves and our lives in such a way to avoid feeling UNCOMFORTABLE.

We people-please to avoid conflict.
We become perfectionists to avoid criticism.
We self-sabotage relationships to avoid rejection or abandonment.
We overwork ourselves to avoid loneliness.
We use substances or distractions to avoid sadness and anxiety.

We repeat our ways of being day in and day out in an effort to avoid discomfort, often not realizing that these cyclical patterns are actually causing us more stress and pain.

That stress and pain is what often brings people into therapy.

We blame stressors in their lives, the people around us, our jobs, or our overall environment. We change jobs, cut off relationships, and maybe even move cities.

But the problem lies within.
As long as you keep running, the stress will keep following.

It’s not easy to address your fears and push through the discomfort of changing old habits, but that’s where true change begins.

🩹 Until you address the root causes of your stress and pain, you’ll be slapping on bandaids and exhausting yourself out by running away.

OWN your pain. CONFRONT your fears. EXPAND your window of tolerance for discomfort. BE uncomfortable. BREAK the cycle.

✨ Change takes hard work and a LOT of intentional effort - but trust me, it’s is worth it.

Inner child work isn’t about blaming your parents, blaming yourself, or trying to rewrite the past.

It’s about recognizing that many of the patterns you struggle with today - people pleasing, perfectionism, avoidance, codependency - are old coping strategies that helped your younger self.

Inner child work is about recognizing that these behaviors stem from fundamental human needs - love, acceptance, safety - but it’s also about learning how to respond to those needs differently now, as an older, wiser adult.

There are healthier ways to respond to those needs - ways that involve awareness, understanding, and care. 🤍

Stay tuned for part 2!
