To help Mississauga residents plan ahead, we’ve put together a Holiday Hours handout with an overview of service hours and closures across local health and community organizations.

While this document doesn’t include every organization’s hours, it’s a helpful reference to understand what may be affected and when.

Living with a life-changing illness, or caring for someone who is? You’re invited to an afternoon of learning, comfort, and connection.

From 1:00-2:30 pm, Dr. Sammy Winemaker and Dr. Hsien Seow will share the 7 keys to navigating a life-changing diagnosis.

Afterward, from 2:3:0-3:30 pm, you can connect with local community organizations and explore the supports available to you. Gentle aroma-touch services will also be offered by local hospices throughout the event.

Mental health care is a right, not a privilege.

On World Mental Health Day, we join our partners at CMHA Peel Dufferin in calling for a system where everyone has timely, equitable access to mental health and substance use health care.

Far too often, people are left waiting months for support, or unable to afford the care they need. CMHA Peel Dufferin is changing that reality. Through a stepped-care approach and strong community partnerships, they’ve reduced wait times from over 130 days to just 15, while improving pathways to housing, employment, and food security.

Their work reminds us that good mental health depends not only on access to services, but also on stable housing, income, safety, and belonging.

At Mississauga Health, we’re proud to work alongside CMHA Peel Dufferin and our partners across the region to strengthen community-based care and make mental health support available when and where it’s needed most.
