There is a high probability that smoke from active wildfires will impact the air quality in certain regions of New Brunswick this week. A heat alert is also in place, which can make the effects of smoke worse, especially for vulnerable people.
• Be aware of your symptoms
• Reduce levels of physical activity as necessary
• Limit time spent outdoors
Inside your home:
• Keep windows closed
• Turn air exchangers off.
During Heat Alerts events, consider going to public spaces that have air conditioning and filtered air. At times, communities may open cooling centres.
